Another fun romp with Agatha Raisin and all her antics (Book 3 of the series for #SeriesLove2024). A new lady is in town and has caught James Lacey‘s eye, but Agatha is determined to become a gardener to get between them 😊.

I tore through the third book in the series. I love Agatha just as her new friends in the village she retired to do. On to book four!
Finished on audio this morning…I read this one many years ago, so I recalled some of the plot line. I adore Agatha for her abruptness and her perseverance as an independent woman, and yet her vulnerability and her somewhat naïveté. Also, I have no clue what she sees in James Lacey. He kind of resembles a Mr. Darcy character, but it feels to me like he takes his aloofness to a new level. Fun listen! #192025 #1994
I‘m delighted that I‘m finally getting into the Agatha Raisin mysteries. I think this may be my favourite so far - I didn‘t care for the mystery in the last book and I just didn‘t know the characters well enough in the first book. But I‘m really enjoying the series, especially when I sit with the audio and a puzzle.

I'm slowly making my way thru thus wonderful series. So far, this one is my favorite and found myself laughing even when they found the body. Only the British can make murder this humorous. I read this in a day, I just couldn't put it down
#BookReport - finished 3 books this week. It felt like less, but I‘m pleasantly surprised. All were really good and 3 very different books!
#CurrentlyReading - Magpie Murders, I bailed on this last year but trying again. I‘m enjoying it so far. I‘m really enjoying my Lane Winslow audiobook! The story is good so far.
#WeeklyForecast - Not 100% sure, but I have a lot of books out from library I need to get to.
I have a couple of mystery series that I'm slowly working my way through. I read one or two each year. The Agatha Raisin series is one of them. I really enjoyed this one and read it in two days, something I haven't done in years.
I find Agatha in the books to be quite different from the TV series but despite her gruff exterior I still find her endearing. A great fun read.
I‘m so glad they went back to the original narrator! I love Agatha and was so nice to see Roy again. Still not the biggest Jame Lacy fan but he was better in this book.
Loved it. Realized I like Penelope Keith much better as a narrator than the previous.
I just started listening to this. It‘s my first Agatha Raisin and why did no one tell me how delightfully snarky she is??? 🤣

I‘m on book 3 of the Agatha Raisin series and was so excited to find a bunch of these on Audible Plus. It‘s my first time listening to the series instead of reading it with my eyeballs and I am quite pleasantly surprised. Agatha is hilarious and I can‘t wait to see what she does next! 4⭐️

Catching up, since I missed yesterday. This is not the first book in the Agatha Raisin series, but it‘s the first one I read, thanks to the wonderful @BlameJennyJane This is a fun series; I‘ve gone back and started at the beginning and still have quite a few to read. The mysteries are good, but Agatha‘s character is what hooked me. I alternate between laughing and 🤦♀️
These have been my comfort reads during quarantine. Liked this one particularly because it had to do with gardening - as much as a cozy mystery does.

Book three in the Agatha Raisin series. These are my go to reads as they are so reliable and comforting. Read them many times.
If I was at home I would have done some creative staging of this wonderful mystery, but as we‘re at our son‘s home after flying back to Florida from Pennsylvania, I will just say that, thanks to @BlameJennyJane I have found a great series, and I want to read more if these. Agatha is a fascinating character, I love the Cotswolds setting, and the mystery was intriguing. Fun, fun, fun.
OMG, @BlameJennyJane you are the best swap partner, not the worst 😂 I love everything in my #cozyswap box, and I love how creative it is. The “weapon” is perfect! Thank you, thank you😘😘 Thanks also to @Avanders for her usual superb job of swap organizing.
Thanks to my library‘s audiobook collection I‘m tearing through the Agatha Raisin series. This one was fun, even though the murder in this one was kind of creepy. I appreciate #CozyintheSun giving me an excuse to go straight to book 4!
My adoration for the detail on how the murdered are found always intrigues me!
With jealousy streaking through Agatha at the new lady in the village, isn't it only natural for people to think that she is the murderess?
But is James as interested in a new love affair with someone other than Agatha or not? .....
The third I‘ve read and they all make me laugh out loud. The brilliant narration for the audiobook absolutely adds to my enjoyment of this series, along with the hilarious description of local villagers and the sharp, biting remarks of the main character. #agatharaisin
Sometimes you are in three mood for a cliched cozy mystery and sometimes you aren't. When you are, this is a good series to reach for.
Another Agatha Raisin that I inhaled in two nights. In this, Mary Fortune is murdered by being planted in her greenhouse, head and shoulders in dirt. While Agatha and James investigate, they learn a lot about how terrible Mary really was and have to try and narrow down the best possible suspect/s when it seems like everyone has motive. I knew who'd done it (courtesy of my TV series binge), but it didn't matter. Carsely is becoming my happy place!
