A bit predictable, but I loved every word. KC remains one of my favorite authors—she nails the right mix of humor, heart, and characters that feel real. I flew through it in less than a day and enjoyed every minute. Book #50 in 2025

Like others, this was not my favorite of Catherine Center romances but I enjoyed the dynamic between the FMC and MMC and had fun reading this. I loved the Key West setting and the nod to the Coast Guard. … I‘ll always believe (excepting 1st responders) travelers to an area under a hurricane should be among the first to get out of dodge so as to leave rescues to the locals who remained through the storm.

I was a little iffy about part of the plot, but still a great one. The characters are awesome and her writing is always chefs kiss 🤌🏻!

While I liked this one, it was not my favorite of Center‘s works (I really loved The Bodyguard and greatly enjoyed Hello Stranger). Parts of it were a bit unbelievable, but as in other books by Center, other aspects are deeply personal. Body positivity is a huge theme, along with loving oneself, and let‘s just say I struggle big time with it like Katie in the book. Yet, Center has this magical way of turning a phrase that makes me want to sit ⬇️⬇️

I LOVED this. I'm a fan, but this is a favorite. Katie is so likable. The storyline is exciting. Hutch is swoon-worthy and he has a Great Dane. (Like me!) I could not love this book more.🤓❤️ #greatread #romcom

Happy Publication Day! I‘ve been a fan of Center‘s for over a decade & I think this newest one is amongst her best! Documentary filmmaker Katie finds herself in Key West to keep her corporate job by filming a promotional video for the Coast Guard but also to interview a heroic, semi-famous rescuer of a dog. Sparks fly immediately & with a scene-stealing large dog & colorful aunt, I laughed, cried & absolutely couldn‘t put this one down!

I always enjoy Center‘s books, and this one was no exception.

This may not have been my fave Katherine Center book but, it was still a good one!😁

My Simply bags is the perfect BOTM book holder while shopping at Home Depot with the hubby…my book goes everywhere with me!😅

While I enjoyed the storyline about loving yourself before you can love others and related to that a lot, the rest of the story just okay. I'd like a full complete story about Rue and her marriage and the day that connected her with Cole & Hutch through found family.

I got this as an ARC from NetGalley. Unfortunately I DNF‘d this fairly early as it had a main character that included several traits and actions that I am just not a fan of. Still a fan of this author, this one is just not for me. #hailthebail I am facing a reading slump so trying a silly Ruby Dixon next!

The Love Haters follows Katie Vaughn and Tom "Hutch" Hutcheson. It is by far one of my favorite Katherine Center novels. It is not only a rom com, but also a story about self acceptance. It is still at its core a light hearted romance, with a few tropes in it, and a giant dog.The chemistry between her and Hutch is believable and I really enjoyed watching them fall in love.I genuinely thought this book was funny, cute, and enjoyed reading it.

Laughs, romance, adventure & sad/challenging backstory. A typical Katherine Center book. It was so enjoyable.

I couldn‘t pick just one. It‘s Katherine Center for the win, though. One audiobook & one ebook but I loved them both!!!

Damn it if this didn‘t warm my heart! Buckle up for a romantic adventure with brave rescuers, vibrant retirees, a sweet dog, and lots of Floridian flair. Some parts are maybe a bit over-the-top, but it was also an escape in the best way. The author‘s note about how reading love stories is profound - not frivolous - also really spoke to me.

A typical Katherine Center romance. I really enjoyed it. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy.

I love how KC takes a simple story and adds such dimension and depth to it and fills the pages with such deep life lessons that are uplifting.
