Family drama 100% with funny parts. Too long but I was interested to know about characters chaotic lives. Scarlet and Feather are two friends that decided to have a business in something similar to a catering. But many things happen to own the place and they also need to face their respective families and couples. A predictable ending. 3⭐️I love these editions and the end papers are also beautiful

Free translation: Dark is the Night
This story is two time line: in the present 2020, Sandra, a famous singer in a band, wants to take sometime for herself after her divorce with Olivia. Her manger found her a place in the peninsule coast. She goes by incognito, to this hotel called Hotel Paris. There, Sandra feels strange sensations, eerie atmosphere and hears a song. She decides to follow the song, to see where it comes from⬇️

Gissy She will found that there is a mystery attached to the hotel, the song and the village. There is also some tension in the village due to the presence of these wolves. During this process to explore the hotel, where the song comes from and her visits to the village, she will meet two journalist and a friend came to visit her. Then this friend disappeared. Everything is connected. During those actions we go back and forth to the 1920s. ⬇️ 3mo

Gissy (Cont.) In those parts during the 1920‘s we will know Candela and her secret. What happened to her? Her relation with the hotel, the village, the song and why all their is connected with Sandra. This is a paranormal/mystery with a touch of thriller. It is a long novel (600 pages) so many things happen. Let‘s say that is not a great novel because there were part of this paranormal element that I found absurd, but kept my attention.⬇️ 3mo

Gissy I liked more those past parts than the present; and there were characters in the present time that I enjoyed more than the main character🤷🏽‍♀️If you see the cover, you will see a clue.

First time I read a novel by this author. 3.5/3.8⭐️

2nd book in Miren Triggs duology (The Snow Girl is the first book). Not much to say without spoil events from the first book🤷🏽‍♀️Let‘s say that Miren will investigate another case. I think Miren can be an unlikely character sometimes, some events are maybe not too realistic and some are predictable, but in general I liked this thriller. A fast reading. 3.7/3.8⭐️

I wanted to read this book for a long time because it is well recommended. I liked but didn‘t love it. I think is too unnecessarily long but I never felt bored because you want to know about these characters. It is about this selected group of unlikable students who attend this special program of classics with this eccentric professor. A murder occurred and you know who did and how from the beginning of the story.⬇️

Gissy (Cont.) So this is a character driven story. I don‘t know about that ending. But I like that academia aspect of books and quotes. It was well written but too long with not much happening, it goes around and around of these guilty destructive feelings experience in different ways by each character. Like a Greek tragedy, no hope just self destruction. The author is the narrator in the audiobook. 3.75⭐️ 7mo

2½✨

This one dragged on and on with back story information that I really didn't care about.
The only thing I enjoyed was Lisbeth's trail and the conclusion of the series.
The suspense and mystery was what got me into these books, but it was totally lacking in this book.

Not sure if I'm getting used to Deaver's write style, or if this one was just lacking. But I didn't find it as engaging and suspenseful as the previous three.

It was a pretty decent Crime Fiction, just not what I came to expect from Deaver.

Too long! This book has so much filler. The 601 page #AlmostAChunkster could easily have been under 250 pages. All that filler really took away from some good characters and storylines.
