This was okay...I enjoyed Alex but not Violet as much. Violet needed to shut up a few times, IMO. Some of the sexy stuff was good, but it got old pretty quick.

#unpopularopinion time. Repetitive AF. I knew going in that this was spicy, which is fine, but there was sexy times in every chapter except for 2, maybe 3. And it just seemed like the MCs did literally nothing but bang it out, so I don‘t buy that they formed an emotional connection. When they did talk, it was mostly about each other‘s private parts. And if I never hear the words cock, beaver, or monster ever again, that would be fine with me!
I love reading The Kate Burkholder Series by Linda Castillo. I know that when I have one of her books, I will be entertained. In Plain Sight is a novella. A young Amish boy is found dead in a field. As Burkholder investigates, she finds out that there is a group of people in Planters Mill that is bullying others. Is this the case here? I always want to yell at Kate not to do something because she always finds trouble.

Enjoyed this historical fiction about a woman who went against the 1800s standards to make champagne. I couldn't help but root for this fiesty woman. 4/5⭐️

I am so glad there wasn't a thing on my agenda today except to finish this book! I have to admit, at just shy of the halfway point, I was really wondering why there was such love for this book. Didn't take much longer to find out! There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said except, if you're thinking of reading it--do it!!

Everyone loves this. It's a really good mystery and it's written well. I just wasn't into it. Low pick.

Presumably I read this book back when I purchased it for a quarter back in 1997, but I have no memory of it 😂 A Scholastic Book Club reprint of a 1932 story, this one was perfectly fun but not particularly engaging. But I probably would have liked it better when I was the age for which it's aimed. Soft pick.
This one kept me turning the pages, but for me the motivation for the villain wasn't strong enough to make the ending make sense. However, I've always been a little terrified of elevators, and now I'm not sure I'll ever get on one again 😂 Although ironically, I was expecting more elevator terror than I actually got. Soft pick.
