As a reminder, because I'm in the middle of moving, I am posting quite early!! Ironically, I think we are actually going to end up waiting until next weekend to make the big push to start living at the new house, but this weekend is still going to be quite chaotic with packing, hauling, and also building the new chicken coop etc. Things are going well, and we have been taking the dogs over to get them acclimated. Our current house is very small and does not ⬇ 5h

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) have a hallway, and one of our dogs is literally scared of the new house's hallway?! Apparently the random doorways really weird her out, especially the basement stairs (we don't have stairs at our current house, either) but yesterday she finally started actually walking down the hallway so we are making progress! 😂

ElizaMarie When we moved - we got stairs. I didn't realize how silly one of my dogs was until then. He kept running up and down them and then would slide (almost fall on his face) as he would try to jump midway down and smash into the door. We had to take the older one up and down using a leash, to make sure he didn't face plant - but he had gotten used to it. 2h

julieclair Our son and his wife recently moved from a small house to a bigger one with a basement, and their dog was the same way! Normally bold and fearless, he was afraid of the basement. But after our son took him down there a couple of times and walked around with him letting him get acclimated, he was fine. 🐶🐾💙 2h
