This year I‘m only making Bookish resolution. I have over 200 unread book and I want to concentrate on reading through these instead of only new books. Plus, I don‘t want to add any more new books to the TBR pile. #bookishresolutions #2021

melissanorr Yes! One of my resolutions is to spend less time on my phone. It's hard to believe how much time I waste scrolling through so many different sites and apps. 5y

In addition to the 30 min limit for social media and games - I set aside big blocks of time on my phone for complete “downtime” - I got a LOT of reading done! 😀 I think I have like 2 minutes left to look at Litsy for the rest of the day before I get locked out until midnight 😹 (edited) 5y

LauraBeth @DivineDiana I do - it‘s found under Settings>Screen Time on the iPhone. I just went in and set my “downtime” for the day 😀 5y

LauraBeth @DivineDiana I have a 7 so it could be something as simple as updating your OS. I‘m running 12.1.2. The screen time feature was on a recent update. 5y

New Year's Resolutions | New York Times

1- Complete the PopSugar Challenge, the Modern Mrs Darcy Challenge, Nonfiction 2019 challenge, and a British Authors Challenge
2- Read 75 books
3- Avoid buying books in order to read the books I've already bought. This is a serious issue for me, but I'm not going to say I won't buy any books at all. That's just unrealistic!

📚 I might be the only one with this resolution, but I actually want to read less books in 2019! Reading 200 plus means many books are a blur to me, I can not remember details of half the books I read this year. I am going for quality over quanity in 2019.
📚 Reread some classics and childhood favorites
📚 Finally read Les Mis
📚 Read one NF/month
📚 read off my TBR, and what I own
📚 Not stress out over my challenges!

Daisey Great goals! I sometimes feel this way as well since I've been reading more, but I just can't decide what to leave out. I have become slightly more selective, but not much. 5y

Lmstraubie These are fantastic resolutions! It so true about reading a lot. I find myself thinking, "Did I read this book yet?" and then I need to read the blurb to be sure. I also need to read more of what I have. 5y

TrishB @Oryx I know where everything is! And generally know what I want to read next. You know what it‘s like though - some things stay on the tbr forever with no rhyme or reason why! (edited) 6y

TrishB @LeahBergen my daughter is very exacting when she picks - what do I not want to read today - how long, genre etc! My son generally picks something he wants to read but I can read first and tell him whether it‘s worth bothering with! 6y

One of my #bookishresolutions this year is to finish the #TBRbingo that I created last year. I only read 6 books from it, and I want to read all 25. I put the remaining 19 books all together, so it's easy to grab one when I'm looking for something to read next!
