One of my favourite shows on Cartoon Network (90s) was Heidi. My mom bought this book soon after. One of my favourite children's read. Interestingly, I just googled to find out that the TV show was a Japanese anime series!

I bought this small mountain of books from my library book sale more years than I care to admit ago, and only read 3 from it. 😣

Chrissyreadit What are the books on the bottom? 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa Guilty here too! Great photo and beautiful cat! 6y
TCLinrow @Chrissyreadit it's the Skulduggery Pleasant series in full 😊 I had the 1st, 3rd and 4th book already, but I lent the 2nd book out and never got it back 😑 and the 4th book is a different design so I treated myself to a full matching set 😁 6y
TheLibrarian Nice haul and adorable kitty! 6y
Chrissyreadit Do you think skulduggery is fun for teens? 6y
TCLinrow @Chrissyreadit Definately, especially younger teens. I got into the books when they first started coming out years ago and I loved them. I read the first one when I was 13 and it was pretty perfect for me then 😊 and I don't really think I've grown out of them, read the first three chapters of the first book and I'm loving it all over again ❤ 6y
Chrissyreadit Excellent! 6y

Running out of shelf space, the floor is just as good. 😬

rockpools Oh! I've got Harmless Like You on the kindle. It might be time to see what else is lurking forgotten on there. 6y
tammysue I‘m needing shelves too! 😔 6y

saresmoore Bookcases aren‘t cheap! I have a room full of books on the floor. 😬 My paperbacks told me they were fine on the floor, but those snobbish Folios gave me the side-eye. 6y
Billypar @saresmoore Oh those uppity folios- if they're not sitting on mahogany, they start whining 😂 6y
Crazeedi I have stacks like this too! 6y

My first thoughts for #BookishMountain were Mount Thunder (Kiril Threndor) & Melenkurion Skyweir from the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, but then I thought about my current read (tagged), which takes place in the mountains... which led to me thinking about my growing #TBRMountain...which led to me cobbling together this image that tries to incorporate all of my jumbled thoughts re: bookish mountains. #ReadingResolutions

Into Thin Air was my first Krakauer book & my first thought for this prompt. It's fascinating, harrowing & tragic & not without controversy, as some of the survivors & eye-witnesses like Krakauer, (who was on the ill-fated 1996 Mr. Everest climb to write a magazine article) have differences of opinion on what happened & who/what were to blame. I've not read other books on the subject, but I liked the movies.

Oblomov26 A great book which convinced me I would never climb a mountain 6y
Crazeedi Oh I read this a long time ago, it was a great book, very scary because it is real. 6y
Reggie There is a Moth podcast performance of the son of the guy who lead the expedition this book is about and it is heart wrenching. Fisher Price I think is the last name. 6y
