pickI really enjoyed this breezy history of bookstores in the U.S., from colonial days to the present (shoutout to my local indie, RJ Julia Booksellers, which garnered a mention!). It took me a month because I didn‘t read it straight through — I dipped into it a chapter or a section at a time. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves books about bookstores —and nonfiction.
I can‘t pass them up. Must look even if they don‘t appear to be my type of read. 📚
pickLove the early evening sun on this adorable cat and I very much enjoyed this book. Made me laugh, made me cry a tear or two, or maybe a few of those taken-by-surprise hit to the chest teariness, ya know? Poor decisions have consequences and sometimes overcoming fears have fabulous results. Found-family stories are my jam.

pickThis story was amazing!! It was a balm to this reader‘s soul! Wuthering Heights is one of my favorite books of all time and its author plays a big part in the plot. It has complicated characters that go through some horrendous experiences but books and the magic that keep them alive. Loved it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A story of family, finding your way back to each other, finding yourself, finding your place and hope. Hoffman writes beautifully and even in a short story creates well developed characters and a wonderful setting.
