I totally let this slip my mind yesterday. 🐿🧠

Anyhow.... I still did the same as the two previous weeks. Dismal is what I would call it.

My favorite book by far on this list is LOTR. I also liked I, Robot and Foundation both by Isaac Asimov. I will be rereading Foundation this month for #ClassicLSFBC

It was a close vote, but in the end, Foundation prevailed as June's selection for #ClassicLSFBC. A close second was Lord of Light, which will be the selection for July. Copies of Foundation should be available at most libraries, and I've see very cheap copies available on Ebay, the audiobook is available free on Spotify with a premium account. I had this novel backburnered from a #classicLSFBC buddyread, but I‘m happy to have finally read it! Great cover, wacky book. I‘m giving it a low pick bc the idea of humanity entering the space-faring universe as one of the only species not to have a patron to introduce technology led to interesting alien dynamics. But the plot was all over the place - a Jekyll-&-Hyde thing, a murder mystery, oddly timed pov shifts, hand-to-hand fighting… I dunno

This is a kind-of sequel to April's #ClassicLSFBC read, “The Weapon Shops of Isher“, and continues the story of Weapon Shop agent Robert Hedrock. Here he investigates rumors about a new interstellar drive ... and finds himself condemned to death both by the Empire and the Weapon Shop. This was conceived as a single story so feels more coherent than mashup TWSOI; still, the story takes off in multiple directions for that signature VV style

Holy Crap!! Did I forget about May?!? I really dropped the ball guys, I'm sorry that I forgot about doing the #ClassicLSFBC selection for May. The new job has taken most of my time, and April just slipped through my fingers.
I didn't realize, until I saw @swynn review of The Weapon Shops of Isher, that I'd forgotten. I apologize. I'll leave it up to everyone else, we can skip May and make a selection for June instead, or we can do some ⬇️
