Not book-related but still an important civic duty. My state‘s primary is 8/8 so I want to get this in the mail tomorrow. I haven‘t started yet because I need to go read up on a couple of candidates I‘m not as familiar with—just to be sure. One of my Sunday night projects. Getting ready for November!

Blergh! I can‘t even watch the returns, so maybe I‘ll settle in with a book (if I can concentrate). My local elections went well, but it‘s other parts of the country I‘m worried about. 😩

Using my Bitmoji because our precinct has never given out stickers (since I‘ve lived here).

Today was the first time (At this precinct) that I had to wait for a parking spot to open up and/or actually wait in line to vote. Even the 2016 presidential election didn‘t have this kind of turnout! Glad to see this involvement happening.

Took me two hours to get from work to my polling place in the pouring rain...but nevertheless, I persisted. #vote

Bookworm, book nerd, bibliophile, unabashed book lover. Those are the adjectives I use to describe myself. But I'm also a citizen. And tomorrow I do my civic duty & vote. Because if you can go to the library & pick up your book holds, then you can go vote!

Got my most important task done for today - early voting! Now on to some reading to reward myself 😎

Maybe it's just me being ignorant, but in case you didn't know either, while waiting in line to vote, you are not allowed to use your kindle to read, so bring a book - waiting lines in El Paso have been crazy!

My first 6 books on the #makemereadit list have been finalized. In a run-off race, Shadow and Bone beat Arabella, so they are my fourth and fifth reading choices, respectively. The Red Queen garnered the next amount of votes for sixth position, but there is a 5 way tie for seventh. What will it be, Littens?
