Good thing I have a stockpile of books and yarn.
Also, having lived in Texas for 15 years, it bugs me that they missed the apostrophe in “y‘all.”
It‘s game day, people!! Hoping for a major change (and this would be one!)!! Please, please make your voice heard if you haven‘t already! Sending love and calmness to all of my fellow Americans that may be as anxious as I am today. We are in this together and we can do this!
I‘m joining @howjessreads 📚📖 by having voted early and trying not to get sick with anticipation by reading as much as I can 💙

110 minutes in the drizzling wet weather, but so worth it it!

I HAVE OFFICIALLY VOTED FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!! (and other offices obviously)
Dear Republicans, Ruth sent me!!!
Sincerely,
Educated, autonomous woman who‘s had enough. (Me)

Not book-related but still an important civic duty. My state‘s primary is 8/8 so I want to get this in the mail tomorrow. I haven‘t started yet because I need to go read up on a couple of candidates I‘m not as familiar with—just to be sure. One of my Sunday night projects. Getting ready for November!
Two new pins for my office from Out of Print - the Velocireader and Read Think Vote. 😆
Sorry this is #notbookrelated, but if your state has a primary today, please get out and #vote! I did! And I promise that is as political as I will ever get here on Litsy!
Please head over to @Soubhiville 's page for more details and the form here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QCQ8FJP to vote. #AuthorAMonth sounds like something I'd participate in if I weren't such a mood reader 😑
It's the time of the year again! Go vote for your favorite books of 2019! ✔ 🙂

I joined Postcards to Voters. Psyched to do some postcarding for Democratic candidates.

Did my civic duty. Crossing fingers and toes for a BLUE WAVE!!! 😬😬😬
Blergh! I can‘t even watch the returns, so maybe I‘ll settle in with a book (if I can concentrate). My local elections went well, but it‘s other parts of the country I‘m worried about. 😩
Okay maybe I didn‘t vote today, but I voted on the first day of early voting! 😜 I am anxiously waiting the results. Trying not to get my hopes up, but I am crossing my fingers and toes that Beto will be my new senator! #FallIntoReading #MakeYourVoteCount
Using my Bitmoji because our precinct has never given out stickers (since I‘ve lived here).
Today was the first time (At this precinct) that I had to wait for a parking spot to open up and/or actually wait in line to vote. Even the 2016 presidential election didn‘t have this kind of turnout! Glad to see this involvement happening.
I was going to take a picture of my sticker, but then I saw this from my favorite indie bookstore and I had to share this instead! So glad that I am able to make my voice heard!!!

Today‘s Prompt: Make Your Vote Count
Have you voted yet? I already mailed in my ballot because I‘ll be on travel for CHASING PORTRAITS film events on November 6th. Please vote and let your voice be heard. It‘s too important to sit this one out. #BOOKtheVOTE #vote
Voted early!! The Senate race in Texas is a hot one. Hope we can turn our state BLUE!
My first 6 books on the #makemereadit list have been finalized. In a run-off race, Shadow and Bone beat Arabella, so they are my fourth and fifth reading choices, respectively. The Red Queen garnered the next amount of votes for sixth position, but there is a 5 way tie for seventh. What will it be, Littens?
📚All the Single Ladies
📚Into the Water
📚 The Johnstown Flood
📚A Separate Peace
📚The Sittaford Mystery

Hi y'all! I'm asking for one more round of voting for my August #TBR in @TheReadingMermaid 's #MakeMeReadIt activity. So far, Nimona has beat out The Japanese Lover by one vote, with The Fall of Hyperion coming in a distant third. No love for Deadwood and Norwegian Wood. ☹ Since I had some trouble getting going at first, I would love if you guys would help me out one more time in the comments on this post. Thanks!
