Cute picture book of the day
My Mother‘s Day gifts. Although no books (but I can listen to my audios on the Dot) I love them because Man Cub remembered a random comment I made after Christmas about maybe getting a Dot for my bedroom. The shoes I picked out and are from my parents. Sorry this wasn‘t 100% book related.
The message of this book is probably a little young for my school aged daughter - Arthur the mouse doesn't want to be apart from his mother but Granny comes to the rescue & assuages his anxieties with love & fun.
But Alison Edgson's illustrations are just so stinking CUTE! Arthur is just so expressive, demonstrating all the emotions familiar to any parent of a toddler - anxiety, defiance, frustration and joy. He's just so sweet!
This isn't really book related (except I did get my love of reading from my mom) but my mom had a heart attack over night and is in the hospital. She has to have double bypass tomorrow. Any thoughts and prayers are appreciated. I'll be at the hospital all day. 💜
Picture is of my mom, my sister, and me several years ago.
Yesterday we spent the day celebrating my #mom, but in all honesty she deserves to be celebrated every single day. Some of my favorite #memories are of mom sitting at the kitchen table reading a book, taking me to the library to check out a huge stack of books I would have read by the end of the day or taking me to Pizza Hut to get my pizza for Book It. I‘ll be forever #grateful that my beautiful mama gave me my love for #reading. 📚❤️💐
Happy Mother‘s Day to all the moms out there in Litsyland. You all are amazing! This is me and my Mamacita. She‘s the best 💖
I just received this beautiful image and I wanted to share with all of you! I think it is lovely!
