I adored the tagged book. It‘s hard to read because of how horrific some of the abuse is, but she‘s a survivor and it shows in how she tells her story. She led me to The Power of Knitting, which made the list since I had nothing for June for this bracket, too.

I thought I‘d reviewed this 😔 I finished multiple books at a time and was trying to review them all and forgot some along the way, I guess. This one is a hard one to review which might be a reason as well. But Columbine was a really interesting and gripping read, but a heartbreaking one. It still left me wondering and still wanting answers. I can only imagine what the parents and those who lost loved ones feel.

I thought I had already reviewed this one here but alas I have not 😬 so here I go 😁…I love history. Not all history, mind you, but still lots of certain history. Anyway, this is on the Plantagenets. The rise and fall of them. There was much turmoil within all this family. I believe it was the reason for their downfall. A house divided cannot stand. .Great read, ifyoulikehistory.

I‘ve been interested in foraging plants for a while, but not so much mushrooms because I don‘t tend to like the ones I‘ve had (except wild morels which I grew up eating). However, I‘ve watched videos by this author, online as Appalachian Forager, and started reading more about foraging mushrooms as well. I recently checked out her new book to read more about chanterelles after my uncle gave me a few to try.
⬇️

Daisey It is very much written in her voice and for the beginning forager. I found it helpful as well as entertaining and will refer to it again. It includes clear descriptions, photographs, some recipes, and links to a few of her videos.

📷: This week, I also found a chicken of the woods and a few chanterelles of my own.
