Another book I never would have read if it weren‘t for a Litsy challenge. In this book a hobbyist searches for the missing people in #Palau - the scene of some of the bloodiest battles of WWII. I found this short book to be very interesting. #ReadingOceania24
The memoirs of a man working on starting the Micronesian police force in the late 70‘s to early 80‘s is kind of random but not terrible to read about. #ReadingOceania24 #Micronesia
Quite chaotic, this book. And this family. But so funny and loving. I don‘t have much to add to what others have already said but I wouldn‘t have mind spending more time with Greta & Valdin or have people like them in my inner circle. A feel-good book!

I'm updating the spreadsheet we use to admin the @LitsyEvents page and share all your great events/games/buddyreads/readathons/competitions, etc.
It would be a great help if you could help me out by tagging the details of your events, hosts, dates/times, info about the group/event.
Additionally, if you no longer run an event, please let me know so I can remove it from the taglist.
Please tag me @AllDebooks or @LitsyEvents #LitsyEvents
TIA x
Catching up after vacation. #WondrousWednesday @Eggs
1) Yes- I wanted to read a book set in each state and finish #ReadingOceania24
2) A little of both, but mostly flying by the seat of my pants this year
3) Armchair travel and bonding with fellow readers
I got this free on a stuff your kindle day. Those books can be hit or miss but this one wasn‘t half bad. A cozy mystery set in New Zealand post WWI. I wish it were illustrated because the dresses the seamstress/ sleuth described sounded amazing! #ReadingOceania24
This one was a little more serious than Troost‘s other books. Having faced his alcoholism and completed rehab Troost takes on another adventure- this time following the steps of Robert Louis Stevenson in Oceania. I actually appreciated his introspection and enjoyed this one more than Sex Lives of Cannibals. (He seems to pick his titles at random. They have nothing to do with the books.) #ReadingOceania24 @BarbaraBB @Librarybelle
This is a collection of over 50 short stories and poems, by women from various #readingoceania24 countries, including #newzealand, #fiji, #tonga, #papuanewguinea and, the one I‘m going for, #samoa.
Thank you so much for sending this to me Holly @Hooked_on_books - I really enjoyed it and also felt like I‘d learned a lot about the different cultures. I did prefer the more ‘modern‘ storytelling rather than the fables but there was a great mix.
This is very handy when you‘re working on reading challenges!
