I posted about two books finished today. I'm very much enjoying the Lethem but I am thinking it will need to hibernate for now as it is not compatible with my mood/mental space etc (will def come back as it is quite good), which leaves me with me mostly a clean slate except for one story collection which I am enjoying SO MUCH I ordered the physical copy. Will review (CONT)

so-soThis felt like 6 shows that had adults playing teens, and 1 that actually cast teens. After Fresh Prince, So-Called, and Dawson‘s, it felt like the book deteriorated into ways show business is horrible to people - people in show business, fans, and people in general - and how that was expressed in the next four shows.

Perhaps Glassman should have called ANY Celtic Thunder fan, ANY Damian McGinty fan, ANYone involved in creating Celtic Thunder or literally ANYone in all of Ireland. It‘s really bad when you mispronounce the name of an internationally famous band. Just saying. This ain‘t Boston where they are so disconnected from the Irish Celtic roots they think a C sounds like an S. 🤦🏼♀️

This show still holds up! The 20-something at my daycare back in the early 90s laughed so hard when I did the whole theme song. Everyday, he‘d say “do it! Do it!” And I‘d do the whole theme song again.

🎞 1940s P & P. I could let it go that the clothes and hair are all wrong, if they hadn't cut so much of the story. It made Elizabeth and Darcy falling in love come out of nowhere.
It's been a long time since I rewatched the complete Masterpiece Theatre 1980 P & P that introduced teenage me to Jane Austen. I liked Elizabeth! Had forgotten how uptight Darcy was in this one. ⬇️

This amazing Star Trek actor/activist shares such moving stories: spending his childhood imprisoned in American “relocation” camps during WWII(as depicted in his stirring graphic novel), meeting Gene Roddenberry, landing his most iconic role aboard the Enterprise & remaining longtime friends with the cast. Even tho Shatner tried to steal all the best lines!😁🖖🏻
