Such a strange and fun read ✨

My second completed letter in my #atozultimatechallenge is F!

F~ Author = Layne Fargo for The Favorites
F~ Character = (Eddie) Flynn from The Defense
F~ Item = Fence on the cover of Finlay Donovan Digs Her Own Grave
F=FEATHERS Has a Bird on the Cover = Bluebird
So I think this is the children‘s book… I think it‘s meant to teach children the alphabet. I think this because it goes through the alphabet by using the child‘s name. What makes me question it, is the fact that it proceeds to tell you the ghastly way that child died. Super dark for an alphabet book.
I created an #atozultimatechallenge that includes everything you could want in an A-Z challenge. I also created graphics in Canva.
My first finished letter is Letter C!
C~ Title = The Crash
C~ Author = Suzanne Collins for Sunrise on the Reaping
C~ Character = Calvin from The Last Trip
C~ Item = Cruthes On Scythe & Sparrow
C=COLOR BOOK TITLE WITH A COLOR WORD IN IT = Pink from Pink Glass Houses

I chose these for Jace and I to read together for #foodandlit this month. The alphabet book was cute although kind of grim for a kid‘s book. Let‘s See Ireland was not my cup of tea. Does anyone have any good recs for children‘s books set in Ireland? 🇮🇪

The Nollop Island citizens who #LoveLetters rebel as they are punished for using "Z" then "Q" then "J". Their written correspondence becomes more challenging, creating a hostile environment that causes some people to leave. When "D" is banned, the Council declares that anyone who has been banished or left the island will lose their property. A 2001clever cautionary tale worth reading again today. #FeelintheLove @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Eggs
I spotted this while reading the New York Review of Books. This month marks the 100th anniversary of Edward Gorey‘s birth 🎂
At the end of last year, I saw an amazing exhibit called Journey to the World of Edward Gorey - I love his illustrations!
