ElizaMarie GEEZE that former preacher! Ha! I loved his rationalization of his sex life :) We aren't too far in, and again, I am going in blind, so I have no clue whats going on, but its odd. I am looking forward to keep reading and exploring where the story takes us! 2w
BarkingMadRead @elizamarie I‘ve started it but not finished it, so I‘ll be curious in a little while 🤣 the writing is beautiful but it‘s such a sad story so far! 2w

Crinoline_Laphroaig I'm glad nothing happened to the turtle. Anymore turtle meaness and I'm out. 2w
Bookwormjillk This was the only assigned reading in High School I actually finished. I‘ve read it a few times since. But since I have a Swiss cheese brain when it comes to what I‘ve read I don‘t remember the details. 2w
Cuilin Ok I was this 🤏 close to DNFing but something happened when he started talking about being in prison that made me interested. Especially the guy who returned because life was better in prison then out. Sticking with it for now. 2w
willaful I was fascinated by this chapter. I think the Preacher's take has a lot to be said fo it.

But I'm so worried about the poor turtle! Even if he's meant for a pet, I fear he wil wind up food.

dabbe Jim Casey. Initials JC. Just like ... 🧐 2w
SamAnne @dabbe could catch. Yes. I enjoyed this chapter. Oh that poor turtle! 2w
lil1inblue @willaful I, too, was intrigued by the preacher's viewpoint. Especially when combined with the JC initial observation that @dabbe pointed out! 2w
lil1inblue I'm way too invested in the turtle. 2w
Bklover @Crinoline_Laphroaig @lil1inblue I agree! This turtle business is making me crazy. 2w

And the point we all ought to have is the Point of view. The Point of View is the most important of all points, and everybody should have his own in the first place, and everybody should be very tender to everybody else's Point of View in the second place, because a Point of View is always a tender thing. #awwww
