#fiercefeb #imeverywoman My current read from this amazing and inspiring woman..... I‘m reading this for #booked18 #bodypositivememoirornovel ... I tore a disc in my back a few years ago and exercising became very challenging... I have been afraid to go back to yoga, but this wonderful book has inspired me to be kind to myself, embrace my limitations and start a home practice without judgement.... day 4 and feeling good!

Reecaspieces Yoga is a mainstay for me...I hurt my shoulder a few weeks ago and I am missing it terribly. Enjoy your practice. There are quiet a few good ones on you tube. Ali kaminova, heart alchemy, Leslie fightmaster. Just to name a few. 7y

KarenUK @Reecaspieces Thank you! I'll definitely go check these out! 7y
GlassAsDiamonds I really ought to follow your lead and haul my a** back to yoga....!! 😊😊😊 7y

Dumplin' | Julie Murphy

Mehso-so

This book was a nice light addition to my #24in48 stack. It didn‘t wow me - I was expecting Dumplin‘ to be this fun, loveable, “wildly unforgettable” character based on the book blurb. And I didn‘t get that. She was written in a flat way, without a voice that really distinguished her from the rest of the characters. The message is a good one, but I wanted a little something more.

L_auren Hmmmm 🤔interesting perspective. I wonder what I‘ll think when I read this one 7y
Cinfhen Exactly! I still think the cover art was the best part of this book😉❤️ 7y
ephemeralwaltz I'm curious about this one but afraid I'll feel the same! 7y

Reviewsbylola I enjoyed this one more than I expected! 7y
emilyhaldi @Reviewsbylola I‘m starting to wonder if you‘re a closet YA fan 🤔😆 7y
cornfedwellread I kind of felt the same way about it. Overall, light and enjoyable, but not quite up to the hype. 7y
Mdargusch @Reviewsbylola and I definitely like YA more than you. 7y
Reviewsbylola Lol not a chance!!!!! 7y
LauraBeth I read this and realized that YA is not for me 7y

Finishing off the day with a light read... also my choice for #bodypositivememoirornovel #booked2018

britt_brooke How are you liking it? I bought this on my kindle some time ago, but haven‘t read it yet. 7y
rubyslippersreads This is my choice for #booked2018 too. 7y

Cinfhen This book is light & fun but it was still too YA for me....i do ❤️the message, though❣️and the book cover 🤗 7y
emilyhaldi @britt_brooke it‘s a super quick read, so definitely worth a try! YA is not my thing but since my mom already owned the book I figured I would give it a try. @Cinfhen I agree- I‘m halfway through and it‘s entertaining but definitely not going to be a favorite. 7y
Cathythoughts Yes looks good. But I can‘t read YA. I have a mental block about YA 🤷‍♀️ 7y
L_auren On my 2018 priority list! 7y
BarbaraBB I am not into YA, still it might have been a better choice than Hunger 😀😬 7y
JenP @BarbaraBB I read Hunger for this challenge too. I‘m not sure I would qualify it as body positive but I‘m still going to count it 😬 7y
emilyhaldi Lol @BarbaraBB it‘s definitely a better option than Hunger if you ask me 😂😂 7y
Mdargusch I enjoy YA every once in awhile to lighten things up. 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @JenP @BarbaraBB I agree about Hunger. It was such a tough read, and ultimately I don‘t think she feels positively about her body. However, she definitely got the message out there about the realities of living in a larger size body. I think Willowdean in Dumplin‘ was more proud and accepting of her size, for sure. 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @britt_brooke @emilyhaldi I feel the same way. I‘m not a YA reader but I enjoyed the story in Dumplin‘. And Willowdean is priceless. 7y
britt_brooke @BarbaraTheBibliophage Good to know! I like a good YA read now and then. I think next time I need a palate cleanser, I‘ll give this a shot. 👍🏻 7y
Reviewsbylola Great choice! 7y
BarbaraBB @BarbaraTheBibliophage @jenp It was definitely not body positive I think but one of this kind of books is enough for me so it has to qualify as one 😉 7y
