I am not good with heights but I am fascinated by high wire & trapeze acts and I wonder what it would be like to #FeelSoHigh above the ground. These three books are in my stacks. I read & enjoyed The Orphan's Tale & the tagged book & Queen of the Air are #TBR & loaded on my Kindle.

*Everybody is feeling high at the drug- and sex-fueled parties that are circumambient in Clay‘s world; i.e., the world that Easton Ellis paints for us in his debut novel, tagged. It‘s a fairly stultifying existence: house parties at million-dollar homes featuring kids shooting heroin, having one-night-stands, and watching snuff films. It‘s the kind of exotic party that was de rigueur in the 80s, unfortunately.

CoffeeAndABook Hi Cindy!!! Hope you‘re having a wonderful time out there!!! 🌸 I was in a reading slump on my trip as well, nothing could hold my attention. I finally decided I need a Grisham, his writing is so suspenseful. I hardly ever read him but whenever I do it‘s good. In this instance I read Camino Island which centers around a book theft but is also about small independent bookstores. I really liked it - and it worked 👍🏼 Sending my love 💓 5y

In McCann‘s story, it‘s August 1974 NYC and Philippe Petit‘s astounding tightrope walk between the towers is the backdrop to a beautiful portrait of the people and city below...
In Foer‘s novel, 9 year old Oskar has an adventure through 5 boroughs, as he comes to terms with the death of his father on 9/11....
I loved both of these so much.... 💕📚
