Willow “helping” me with my knitting.

In love with my new yarn bowl from Cotta Ceramics.

#litsycrafters #catsoflitsy

@CBee here‘s Willow! She looks a bit more brown than usual here, she‘s a silver/mink bengal.

CBee Ohhhhhh she‘s just lovely!!!!! 😍😍😍 9mo
Kitta @CBee Thank you! She loves attention 😂 9mo
Cazxxx Aww 🥰 she is adorable! 9mo

KadaGul @Kitta You have an Adorable 🥰 helper. #KittiesforAssistance 9mo
CBee @Kitta I don‘t knit (stupid arthritis), but that yarn bowl is also ridiculously cute 😊 9mo
Kitta @CBee she makes other animals too but this guy was just too cute. 🥰 I have carpal tunnel so knitting happens in shorter bursts than it used to, but I still enjoy it! 9mo
Kitta @Cazxxx @KadaGul thank you! 😸 9mo
KadaGul @CBee @Kitta Did you try Looming or Addi? #Yarnforlife 9mo
Ruthiella 😻😻😻 9mo
dabbe Hello, Winsome Willow! You're gorgeous! 🖤🐾🖤 9mo
Kitta Thanks @Ruthiella and @dabbe! 😸😸 9mo
Kitta @KadaGul no I haven‘t, what are those? 9mo
Kitta @KadaGul oh wait I have, I looked it up 😂 I used to as a kid. I prefer standard knitting now if my hands will allow it but agreed #yarnforlife! 9mo
CBee @KadaGul I haven‘t! I basically don‘t know how to knit but have always wanted to learn! I‘ll check those out 💚 9mo
KadaGul @Kitta I have Vietnam 🇻🇳 War Vet who makes a lot of hats 👒 and scarves🧣 using loom & ADDI King. I know some ladies use Addi when 🙌 or wrists aren't cooperating. I only crochet 🧶 I have stupid fingers 🖐️and get lost with knitting needles 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ 9mo

Cloth of the Tempest | Kenneth Patchen
post image

#poetrymatters #pattern Though not quite the same as a pattern poem, Patchen had a habit of interspersing written text , illustrations, & unusual typefaces in his books of poetry.I nearly fainted when I found 3 of his books for a Buck apiece at a Brandis book sale years ago.

TheSpineView Excellant choice! A buck a piece is a score! 2y

This poem is considered one of the best examples of pattern poetry.

Pattern poetry is a type of poetry that depends on the shape the text makes. The visual image of the lines is an integral part of the work.

Day 10: #Hobbies

This quilt was made by Jane Austen, her sister, Cassandra, and their mother.

On May 31st 1811, Jane wrote to Cassandra, “Have you remembered to collect peices (sic) for the patchwork - we are at a standstill”.

One of the #hobbies I would love to try is quilting, but I really don‘t have the down time needed to devote to it (I can barely keep up with reading!). But, should I ever have the time, this book provides patterns for quilts inspired by Austen‘s works. #200PnPCovers

LeahBergen My post today is on Jane‘s quilting, too. 😆 2y
TEArificbooks My mom is a quilter and she is looking for a new project. This might work for her. 2y
mabell Great choice! I would love to see how designs have changed over the years. It definitely is a huge time commitment to quilt (says someone with a half finished quilt in the basement). 2y

Librarybelle @LeahBergen Great minds!! 😂 2y
Librarybelle @mdm139 It seems like a fun list of projects for a quilter! 2y
Librarybelle @mabell That would be a very interesting study - how designs have changed over the years 2y
CrowCAH I tried quilting for a summer. Made many squares, but never connected them. 2y
