5/5 🌟 I decided to pick this one up because it looked familiar and was in the #poetry section. I ended up LOVING IT. It's such a #powerful book about #love #relationships (#romantic #sex #familial) and about #selflove and #bodypositivity!! And Kaur does such a beautiful narration that really makes you stop and just Listen! #nonfiction

Clwojick I love all of her books! Even if I can‘t personally relate to all of the topics, I still love the rhythm of her words. ♥️ 3mo

This can‘t be true 😟 Toni Morrison is such a influential being. My mom loves to read and introduced me to her. When she would speak she had that voice that made you want to pay attention and listen. Lord I am at a loss for words I don‘t even know what to say prayers to the morrison family friends and book lovers. Rest In Paradise Queen 😢🙏🏾 #influential #brokebarriers #strong #leader #powerful #buyherbooks #bookreaders #bibliophiles #rip

Finished today 🤓 I needed some time to get into it, but then devoured it in one reading. Wadjda, the main character, reminds me a lot of Jo March in #littlewomen - one of my all-time #favourites ! Both heroines are strong and independent, love fiercely, and stay true to themselves and their goals, especially when society is against them. I always enjoy #powerful #strong #femaleprotagonists 🌟🌟🌟🌟 #recommend #whatimreading

If you haven't read the first two books, you should do that right now. This one focuses on younger sister Bea, who desperately wants to follow in her big sister's superheroine footsteps. This was crazy and fun, but the best part is that there will be more books in this series!!! 🎉🌈🔥💜

I have no words to wrap up how I felt reading this book or the power it had over me.
These brutally honest and dark stories of our history are important to read and learn about in any generation. This book will forever be with me ❤️

5 🌟 #truestory #WWII #powerful

“The plot provided by the universe was filled with starvation, war and rape. I would not—could not—live in that tale..In 1994 Clemantine and her 15 y.o. sister, Claire, fled the Rwandan massacre and spent the next 6 yrs migrating through 7 African countries, searching for safety—perpetually hungry, imprisoned and abused, enduring and escaping refugee camps, finding unexpected kindness, witnessing inhuman cruelty.” #TBR

Poet Shae Savoy is not in the database, but read her “YellowBrick Road” or take her workshop at Bent Writing Institute if you get the chance! Her “Watering the Rattlesnake” will blow you away! She donated a reprint of it to a book I edited, but the best thing to do to support her is to check out her work & her workshops at https://shaesavoy.wordpress.com. #talent #powerful #lgbtqiavoices #poetrymonth
