SamAnne One of my favorite passages is about Lucy‘s views on the bourgeoisie: they have an “oilier glibness with which flattery and fiction run from the tongue, and in a manner lighter and livelier, but quite heartless and insincere.” This is a great chapter! 1y

Clare-Dragonfly Lucy is the best! I mean, she‘s kind of… racist isn‘t the word but she definitely has Opinions and Beliefs about what people from different countries and classes are like! 1y
