Book #5 of the year: “The Earth Moved” by Amy Stewart

Absolutely amazing book about earthworms, mostly in the US but with a few looks around the world. If you‘re interested in worms, composting, or agriculture, definitely a book for you. I loved every page.

#12Booksof2022

I loved this one. Just a great apocalyptic tale with characters you are sad to see go and earthworms the size of freaking suburbans. Oh, and mermaids!

Andrew65 Giant Earthworms and mermaids, what more could you want. 1y
Reggie Lolol totally bonkers that whole in the middle of Grumpy Old Men at the end of the world , Keene shifts gears and tells you about the Satanists in that one building. Crazy. Love this book so much. 1y
Bookzombie @Reggie Me too! Also, I would watch Grumpy Old Men At the End of World if they made that movie. 1y

Pickpick

I love this! I started this in September, but with the move didn‘t get to spend much time with it. Once I picked it up again this week, I devoured it. (Ha!) It‘s a great mash-up of what I love: scary creatures, random survivors thrown together, grumpy old men, and an apocalypse.

Thanks @Reggie for sending this one to me! You are awesome! 🐛🧜‍♀️🦑

Reggie Lol,yayyy I‘m so glad you liked it. Brian Keene says he based it off his grandfather who actually was in WW2. I loved Teddy and his friend who was sometimes a few sandwiches short of picnic sometimes. I forget his name. And then the crazy guy. When he shoots down that chopper. Oh em gee! Lol I hope Indiana is the best for you, Margie. 2y
Bookzombie @Reggie I loved Teddy and Carl! Earl was the crazy guy. The chopper was crazy and when he comes back on the carport! I really enjoyed Keene‘s afterword about the book and his grandfather. You are so sweet. Thanks so much for the good wishes, Reggie. 😊 2y
Bookzombie @TheAromaofBooks This was my #Bookspin for September. 🙂 2y

Bookzombie @myellenbee Thanks!😊 2y
Reggie Hey, Margie. I was just wondering if you‘re not too busy with the move or with life you might want to join the LItsy postal markup club. I‘m in groups L and R if you wanna join one. 4 of us we each pick a book, read it, mark it up and pass it on till the 4 months is up. I‘ve always wanted to read a book with you and this is also a way I can get your new address. Lol, if you want. Signups are on Suvata‘s page. (edited) 2y
Bookzombie @Reggie Hi, Reggie! This will sound silly but I have never joined one before because I don‘t know if I would be any good at it. I don‘t know if I think critically enough when I read, but I can try. Do you have a preference on which group I join? 😀 I would give you my address anyway, lol. 2y
Reggie @Bookzombie oh please a lot of my comments go like this- lol, oh wow, Jesus!- I‘m crying right now. Lol you would be great. Whichever one you want, Margie. 2y
Bookzombie @Reggie Lol, that‘s good to know. Is the romance one full? It looks like there are three on the site but four in your post. Maybe I misread. 2y
Reggie No it‘s not. A girl backed out. So there‘s only 3 now. 2y

The ending of this book had some humor that is subtle, but I think would be enjoyable to kids.
