I love a wide variety of books but I mostly listen to the audio versions. If you have a book that you really enjoy, then tell me all about it! :)

Book#105 of 400. This book just jumped within my top 5 books of all time. Maybe number 1 I‘m not too sure yet. If the description at all interests you then I‘d get this book. Very thought provoking and really made me rethink what I know and think about myself. I‘ll be listening to this again soon. I hope I am not overhyping this book but for me it was very eye opening.

SW-T It made me do some deep thinking. Really liked that 😊 6y

Book #103 of 400. wow! This is easily the best science book I have ever listened to. Really brings awe and wonder to everything so vital to life and history that we don‘t even think about, yet we interact with it all everyday. Highly highly recommend

CorinnaBechko Interesting! I hadn't even heard of this book before. Thanks! 6y
RamsFan1963 @BillyH I'll have to check this out. Sam Kean is one of my favorite non-fiction writers. 6y
BillyH @CorinnaBechko you‘re welcome:) @RamsFan1963 let me know what you think! I‘ll be listening to the disappearing spoon soon. 6y
RamsFan1963 @BillyH Both The Disappearing Spoon and The Violinist's Thumb were excellent. 6y

Book #98 of 400. This is such a beautiful memoir. I enjoyed every minute of it and I was thoroughly thoroughly entertained the entire book, very often I was laughing. If you‘re into memoirs and autobiographies then this is a must read/listen.

Suet624 You‘re so right about this book. 6y

Book #94 of my 400 goal. This was a truly amazing story and I enjoyed greatly. Intriguing, interesting, philosophical, and thoughts provoking. I‘d definitely recommend this if it sounds interesting to you. That being said I think there were more questions to be asked and answered about the human psyche. It didn‘t quite touch on everything I think it should have, however what it did encompass was extravagant. Great read.

AmyG 400! Wow. That‘s an amazing goal. 6y
Naj Wow. Super impressed by your goal and progress. Great going! 6y

Book#82 for my 400 goal. This was such a good read. It is always important to look on the past and learn from it in order to make a better future. The nasty, sick, cruel, inhuman things humans can do is just too much at times. We need to stop and question what is considered okay today and ask ourselves, is it really? Because there are many demonstrations of the opposite being true when you take a look at history.

Velvetfur Unfortunately that evil and cruelty still goes on today, it will never end, no matter how much we campaign against it. This is because humans are, in the main, evil. 😓 6y
BillyH It does indeed still exist. However there has been huge improvement over time and I am hopeful that we are moving in a good direction. I‘m sure there will never be true equality, but I think we as humans will always move towards it. @Velvetfur 6y
amberdfoy 400?!?!? 82?!? How?! 6y

CafeMom Do you have long commutes? I read this book with my book and was quite impressed. I was happy the movie brought attention to the book. 6y
BillyH @CafeMom no I don‘t. Only 30minutes. My work is mindless work and I don‘t have to communicate with anyone so I‘m able to just sit in my little booth and listen :) 6y

The Library Book | Susan Orlean

Been a long time since I wrote a review. I‘m still trying to reach my 400 books in 2019 and so far I‘m at 78. The library book was a very good read. The story of the library fire was sad but the outcome it led to in the end was very good. Learning the Inner workings of libraries to me was the best part of this book and I think it is well worth the read.

rachaich 400 us a huge amount! 6y
BillyH I know! I hope I can make it:) I‘m setting a good pace. @rachaich 6y

BillyH @ShyBookOwl if you have a local library card you should download the app Libby if you haven‘t already. You can very likely find it on there and borrow for free right from your phone:) I absolutely love Libby. 6y

Today‘s book got finished a little late because I was a bit busy today. I really loved his other book, The Power of Habit, and this book did not disappoint either. It did remind me a lot of the book how not to be wrong when it starts talking about probabilistic thinking. Overall though it‘s a good insight into the phycology of what motivates us and how we succeed and reach goals. Overall I‘d say this is a very good book to pick up.

Open: An Autobiography | Andre Agassi

Today‘s book #5 was Open. This, to me, was the most real and raw autobiography I‘ve ever heard. The truest form of pure grit. If you like autobiographies, this is one of the best.

Reggie Are we gonna see his and Steffi‘s kids on the tour anytime soon? 6y
BillyH I don‘t think so. There is a brief moment in the book where Andre expresses that he and Steffi don‘t want to involve their kids In tennis. Of course if the kids expressed their own interest In it and wanted to do it, I‘m sure they‘d support it. But being pushed into tennis against their will, they didn‘t want that for their kids. @Reggie 6y
Reggie That‘s nice to hear, thanks! 6y

ReadingRover I loved this audiobook. I was never a big tennis fan but his story was so interesting to me. Like you said, it was just so raw. The guy basically hated tennis. It was sad. 6y
BillyH @ReadingRover I‘m the same way! I didn‘t even know who this guy was before the book lol 6y
CarolynM I loved the honesty of this too. Truly admirable. 6y

Trying to do one book a day for as long as I can, today on day 4 I listened to Parallel Worlds by Michio Kaku and it was really good! Goes pretty in depth about theoretical physics and string theory, talking about the possibility of parallel worlds and universes. Very very intriguing and very thought provoking. I recommend it if science is your thing!

Sweettartlaura Oh, I have this in my Audible library. Thanks for the rec - I‘ll make sure to get to it soon! 6y

This is hands down my favorite sci-fi series. If you have never read it and like sci-fi even a little bit, I highly suggest you read it! It‘s even better as an audio book if that‘s your thing. What is you favorite sci-fi? I‘m looking for a new read. :)

CoffeeK8 Hey, I love scifi and my current favorite is Murderbot. Also if you‘re interested in a book Club I‘m part of #BBBBC which is dedicated to Sci-fi/Fanstady reads. 6y
Addison_Reads The Red Rising books have been some of my recent favorites. 6y

Book 3/381 for #onebookaday Finished this book a little early so I‘ll start another! Today‘s book was the sixth extinction and I think this is a very important book. A good and eye opening account of homo sapiens effect on the ecology and earth as a whole. Definitely worth reading.

Tove_Reads It is a good one! 6y

Book 2/381. Today‘s book for #onebookaday was, How Not To Be Wrong. For this one, I think a written book might have gone a little better than audio as this book is pretty academic and takes a little patients. At the same time though, all of the concepts are easy to grasp even if you aren‘t any good at math. Take it from me, I hardly know basic algebra.

CrowCAH You should totally listen to the Lunar Chronicles; they‘re soooo great to listen to!!! 6y
BillyH @CrowCAH I‘ll definitely consider picking it up! Looks good :) 6y

ReadingRover Welcome! I‘m an audio junkie! Let me know what kind of books you like and I‘m sure I can suggest a few. I listen to at least 4+ a week. James Patterson‘s books are super quick reads. Also this is probably the funniest audio I‘ve every listened to 6y
BillyH @ReadingRover I think I‘ll listen to that soon! I love bio/memoirs but I mostly listen to nonfiction in the science/psychology/philosophy areas. I also like sci-fi and fantasy :) 6y
ReadingRover @BillyH I think you‘ll enjoy it. She also talks about her anxiety and depression along with growing up and her life in general. It‘s an overall solid book. 6y
