My February reads. On target to hit 100 books for the year. It‘ll be my first time hitting 100 if I make it. -23 books for 2020 thus far.

⭐️⭐️ This was a fast book which is one of the reasons I finished it. My other reason? Goodreads doesn‘t allow me to bail on books which I hate. So I read it. The only reason it didn‘t get one star was because there were a few small chunks of ok‘ness. Pretty sure this will be my worst book of the month.
Our family spent our Friday night at the library, gathering all the adventures for the weekend. 💗
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️a fast young adult read. I didn‘t know anything about this book and found the plot fascinating. I listened to the audiobook and Bahni Turpin is becoming one of my favorite readers. She is truly fabulous.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️A sorrowful story in search of redemption. This was a heavy read with so much horror and yet one that kept me reading.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ this was a fun fast read of a coming out story of a boy in high school.
⭐️⭐️⭐️I wanted to like this book more than I did. I love Amy Poehler and think she‘s hilarious. And I guess I wanted more humor in reading her book. There were some moments where I laughed out loud but the majority of the book was just ok.
Overall the book was fine and I read it in two days.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️First book of 2020 and it was a great one. I did audio for this one and the narrator is fantastic. One of my favorite readers.
A heavy emotional book but a necessary one unfortunately. Police shootings are gun violence and we need to address it. The book does a great job in tackling this subject.
Great book about how racism impacts so much from income equality to the economy. Enjoyed learning about the New Deal and how healthcare could be a new new deal.
I don‘t even know what happened. #BFC round 2 ended and I had know idea 😂
So hi to my new team! Here are my goals even though we are checking in. Sorry I‘ve been busy trying to save the world. @Scochrane26 @Dragonfairykats @hes7 @LapReader @Catlover23 @Meghan1 @Sresendez12 @wanderinglynn
Week 1 some days I met the goal. Mostly trying to recover from Washington, D.C. and plan an event for next weekend.
Today I marched with Students and Moms Demand Action in Washington DC to demand common sense gun laws. Tomorrow we call our senators and ask them to pass the Background Checks Expansion Act.
Weekly checkin read some things and lots of walking in dc
A review and check in for #bfc #bfcr2!
First the book. At first I felt the book didn‘t feel genuine. But as I continued in and heard more and more stories I changed my mind. While part of it feels for the big show of running for higher office one day I saw through to the man who chose to live in the neighborhood. Overall a good book.
Now for week 5 check in: it was hot! But got in 86,159 steps. Did some stretching which I still need work on.
Week 4 #BFC check in! My week has gone well although it has been SO HOT 🥵. Logged 80,357 steps and completely finished one book. I‘m close to finishing another and half way through a third. The steps have definitely been harder to achieve with the humidity.
Next week will have to focus on some audiobooks as my glasses were broken today. #keepgoing
Big karate show today but before the makeup here is my #nofilter #nomakeup selfie for the #bfcr2.
A black belt is just a white belt that never gave up.
Wanted to get five miles in this morning but after 4.3 miles the sky opened up and lightening crackled all around. Ended up soaking wet as well as my kid‘s cross country team. I‘ll still hit my step goal today though so that‘s good! Started a new book which is tagged. Starting the week off well!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I enjoyed this book and so glad I got the Audio version! It was neat listening to the back and forth of the POV of Sadie and a news investigator/podcast type style. Murder mystery which I don‘t think I‘ve ever read. Overall I enjoyed it and it was a fast read.
I was trying to think about what books inspired me. And two kept coming to my mind and both are children‘s books. Both about giving of ourselves to those we love.
Reading from a parental standpoint versus watching my children as they hear from theirs. Same story, different perspectives. Inspire all of us to do a little more for someone. 💗
This week for the #BFC I read three books taking my total to 9. I was worried about my step goal due to a knee injury from karate. But after a few days rest I was able to bounce back. I haven‘t gotten my steps in yet today and already surpassed my goal.
Still need to work on making stretching a habit. My push-ups have increased as well!
I love Abby and she‘s an amazing athlete and soccer player. The book is fine. But if you have seen her commencement speech she talks about in the book that pretty much sums up the entire book. So I was a bit disappointed. I read it start to finish waiting at a doctors appointment.
I‘m down with a knee injury which is HORRIBLE. It was hard to watch my kid run and I was sidelined, but I was still able to read. I finished “Before We Were Yours,” and also started the “Book Thief.” Thankful to spend the day reading and hoping a day or two of rest I can bounce back.
Unpopular opinion here but I did not love this book. I did enjoy the parts that were set in the past but didn‘t care for present day parts. I just didn‘t find it enjoyable. But I stuck it out and the ending was overall enjoyable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Week 2 #bfc and I‘ve reached my book goal. So I guess I need to increase my goal. Gonna bump it up to 15 total. I‘ve got a few longer books in the queue.
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I loved this Audiobook! I‘m so sad it‘s over. The book was not only enjoyable but the voices reading took me to a magical place. It was the only book I fully finished this week.
Met my #bfc goals this week and have decided to add some daily stretching in this week! #bfcr2 #bookfitnesschallenge #checkin @wanderinglynn @mcipher @DebbieGrillo @Lucy_Anywhere @okthislooksbad @Books.Bottles.and.Babies @twohectobooks
A family favorite recipe is baked tofu with the recipe pictured. Was hoping to make it for the picture but it got pushed to tomorrow. We sautée peppers, onions, and add steamed broccoli. We then add an orange sauce to this and serve with brown rice. This is the best way I‘ve found to make crispy tofu.

The Help is by far my favorite audiobook thus far! Such a magical experience. I look forward to watching the movie again but the this book is enough to transport me into Mississippi.
This was an enjoyable memoir. I didn‘t really know what to expect as I didn‘t know of Kate Bornstein before. The subtitle is what made me read it. It‘s dark and funny a little slow at times but overall enjoyed it! I also learned a little bit about Scientology and some new perspectives. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Week 1 goals met! Because of audiobooks I‘m crushing my book goal. Not sure if I‘ll finish my fourth book tonight but will by tomorrow night.
Finishing the week with a fire and looking forward to my rest day tomorrow!

June has been a great month! I joined this awesome community which has inspired me to read more! I think the world would be a better place if we all read more. Still finishing up Queer and Pleasant Danger but hoping to finish before July!
This reminded me of the positivity part of our #BFC #BFCr2 challenge. Life happens and while that should not shake our goals we must also realize there are several roads to get to the final destination. @wanderinglynn @mcipher
Finished What is the Bible and on to Lead from the Outside. I already enjoy it and find Stacey Abrams wisdom timely. Don‘t allow fear to hold you back from your ambition.
Also my steps for the day are on track to meet my #bfc #bfcr2 goals. Picture of my backyard where I get in most of my steps.
#BFCr2 exercise is going well. My kid had run club today so while she ran I got my running steps in. I definitely had the munchies today and probably didn‘t handle those well. Been able to listen more than read shuffling kids to and fro.
How‘s #TeamLitnFit‘s week shaping up?
@Books.Bottles.and.Babies @DebbieGrillo @mcipher @Lucy_Anywhere @twohectobooks @BeckyB
Finished my second book which is tagged and got my steps in for the #bfc! Plan on getting my pushups in before bed. Goals met even if the movement was muddy from rain.
I‘m thankful for finding this community as it‘s challenged me to read more. I find myself choosing books over social media and that‘s a good thing. #TeamLitnFit 🔥
I‘ve always enjoyed Glennon‘s quotes but finally diving into her memoir. A fast read and overall enjoyable.
Not being known is a hurt that is unbearable. Finding one‘s authentic self is a mighty lofty goal!
Spent the day reading books all day long! I finished Kamala Harris‘ “The Truths We Hold. I liked the book. It is very policy heavy and a bit scattered at times but overall I found it enjoyable. What I took away from the book is no matter the pushback she receives, whether Republican or Democrat she is going to do what she believes is best for the people.
For my #BFCr2 challenge I got my pushups in. Sundays are rest days. #ReadTheCandidates
Apparently I want to read/listen to every book every other person wants to enjoy. Library problems.
First post and first challenge! Thanks @wanderinglynn for helping me jump in!
Goals: 60,000 steps and 150 push ups per week-because I need to remember my arms, and 6 books.
Let‘s see if my knees can carry me! #BFC #BFCr2
