Finished this late in the night that my giggling caused a lot of confused stares from my partner. A a large and loud woman I really related to many of these essays. @24in48 #bookriotreadharderchallenge

I forgot to post my first readathon book! I tackled a nonfiction biography about the scientist Alexander Von Humbolt. His theories inspired other thinkers of his time and still found to influence environmental science today. The prose is clean and clear and very engaging of a topic. @24in48 #bookriotreadharderchallenge

Been a little distracted this readathon but I was able to finish my second book! What a charming classic Newberry award winner. I would especially recommend #Islandofthebluedolphins for younger readers. @24in48 #bookriotreadharderchallenge

Here is my tentative stack for the @24in48 readathon. I am also trying to knock out some @bookriot read harder challenges for this readathon. Wish me luck! #readharderchallenge2018 #24in48 #readathon #stack #bookdragon

Finished up D with a urban paranormal story about the intersection between dreams and reality. #bookdragon #atozchalleng #readingchallenge

Still on a sci-fi kick but this time with a detective series with Lovecraftian crimes. I am not big on detective stories but I did like the Lovecraft descendant bookseller. #sciencefiction #atozchallene #audiobook

(Late post) Finished B off with a sci-fi Bang! Check out Behind the throne if you are interested in a Indian Gunrunner turned Queen series. #sciencefiction #audiobook #atozchallenge

(Forgot to post earlier) Started my AtoZ Challenge with historical fiction. If you are looking for a fictional account of a medieval era French princess Catherine de Valios, told via the POV of her nursemaid, check it out. #historicalfiction #audiobook #atozchallenge
First book of year! If you are looking for a Western why not try one based on the historic feud between paleontologists Marsh and Cope during the era of the dinosaur wars. It is quick to read not Crichton‘s best, having been published posthumously, but an interesting time nonetheless. #bookriotreadharderchallenge #western #science #historicalfiction #readingchallenge #posthumously

Little late posting this. A good story about the relationship between one line of woman throughout a few generations. #readingchallenge #litsyatoz #letterB

A little late in posting this. A study in the dynamics of family relationships. Namely a reflection on a marriage through letters and a child coming to terms with her parent's reality. Not a bad read but a slow build up. #RC24 #LitsyReadingChallenge #Reading Challeng #judgebycover #coverlove

A little late in posting this. A good coming of age story about a young man learning about himself and what he wants to become. #bookroit #bookriotreadharderchallange #readingchallenge #lgbtq

Finished my first Reading Challenge book this year. Overall an excellent start of the year. #litsyatoz #readingchallenges #2017

Finally finished the 2016 BookRiot read Harder Challenge. 24 books in 12 months. @bookriot #readharderchallenge2016 #readingchallenge #betterlatethannever #readinggoals #bookworm

A little late in posting this but I was excited to complete the 24 in 48 readathon with 8 books. :) #readathon #24in48 #shelflove #classics

It's National readathon day hosted by ALA and Penguin Randomhouse. What are you reading? #readathon2016
I'm honestly not a fan girl or into boy bands, (I am not into sugar pop music) but I really enjoyed this book. It is quick, gossipy and a little dark. The unreliable narrator mixed with different characteristics of fandom make it interesting. Kill the boy band.

Every time I pick up a David Mitchell I feel that the works keep getting better and better. This one is a take on the horror genre and it didn't disappoint. I kept getting goosebumps at the climaxes of each of the stories. It is also very short but very quick read.
Overall I really enjoyed the series. The characters were fun and original. Meyer really worked hard to create a very engaging and believable world. There are times when the prose gets a little "fluffy" but this series hits the guilty obsession sweet spot. It is a great series to check out.

Got my second shipment from BOTM. I'm pretty excited. I've been reading great reviews.
