Fake fireplace, fake Christmas tree, fake mushroom, but real book opened at a relevant page, and a big crocheted stocking I made over 20 years ago, artfully folded to hide the bit that got singed on our wood-burning stove!

Oh my goodness! I am spoiled! This is post 1 because I couldn‘t fit everything in one picture! So much amazing candy, vintage Santa book box, fabulous stocking, adorable oven mitt with cookie mix, candle, two pairs of socks, chapstick, super cute stocking stickers and of course the stocking is awesome but hidden under all the candy-fuzzy fur at top and knitted look with reindeer! Every Christmas season when I was growing up, my family would drive into Chicago, go see A Christmas Carol, and then head to what used to be Marshall Field‘s to look at the awesome window decorations. We always went home with at least one box of Frango mints. This was pre-internet, so Field‘s was the only place to find them. This year, as an early #stockingstuffer, my parents sent me a box. I haven‘t had one in years.

On our trip this weekend, I ended up buying all the stuff for my #stuffedstockingswap! It was really fun to not rely on Amazon this time around and I got to visit some pretty cool bookstores! I did purchase a few things from Etsy but it‘s still better than Amazon.
