“I see that life itself is often more fantastic and terrible than the stories we believes as children, and that perhaps there is no harm in finding magic among the trees.”
I‘ve seen the larks over no-mans-land. I always found hope in that. — Michael Morpurgo, Private Peaceful

Ok people. I am getting my literary life together; trying to read allllll the books I missed last year (and before that!) that sounded really really good!
Any recs are WELCOME! Bonus points if it‘s not on my thousand book list. What are your favourites? I‘ll try anything! ❤️

2. I don‘t have a common author or book, I‘m always trying my best to recommend exactly what the other person will love and that takes all sorts!
3. If there is a wardrobe, open it.

I‘m only a few pages in but the prosepoetry is taking me places! So beautiful and so dramatic. I love how Lockhart affects the wealthy tone so effectively with the perfect amount of pomp.
When is it inappropriate to start a Go Fund Me page? Anyone? My parents just brought me home a Bauman Rare Books catalogue from Vegas. I have goosebumps.
I sense a lot of 💰 disappearinggggg soon. I read this so fast and my library doesn't have the others!
Bagger of milk! Go-er of rips! REPRESENT!
In the spirit of #lyricalapril, I give thee #dashboardconfessional (I know it's a whole band but I couldn't resist the pun!)
I'm going to put some books on hold at the library, she said. It'll be fiiine, she said. (Yes that IS a side table, and yes the pile IS over half the size of the shelf beside it) 😖
Happy Easter all you Littens! Even if you don't celebrate, have an amazing weekend! Thanks for making life LIT. ❤️📚
GO DIEGO GO! I'm going to have one happy two year old cousin (or two-minutes as he says)! Woohoo #bookhaul
Yessssssssss
I don't even know what to say. My heart is full of all the emotions. This book was amazing and sad and hopeful. I love family legacy books but this one was like a blanket every time I opened it. I felt like a part of the family. I often found myself hoping for good things to happen and grieving for deaths and poor choices. If you haven't read this, please please do.
Excited for this wonder. Even if it sounds like something you yell when you win something.
Marceline the Vampire Queen takes to the back porch with neither chair nor sunscreen to read on a beautiful Canadian Spring Day.
Jaysus. I'm all for horror so I'm both excited and wallowing in abject terror. All the stuffed animals will be with me tonight lol
This was such a beautifully written book. It has the kind of prose and flow that leave you breathless. I felt like I was suddenly missing something significant from my life when the audio ended. The piano interludes in between audio parts were simply wonderful and I was absolutely spellbound the entire time. #beautifulbooks
I absolutely love the antics of The Assignments in this book. I laugh every time.
