I'm enjoying these way too much haha Fun concept, engaging characters, and secondary characters that I remember from book to book.

I got the new Kate Daniel‘s novella and so of course I needed to go back and reread the entire series. Since it‘s a dreary day, I decided to finally dig out my craft stuff and started a new cross stitch project.
It‘s retro in the sense that I‘ve had this craft for a while, a long while. 😆 #litsycrafters
(2009) Third in the authors' series featuring magical mercenary Kate Daniels. This one has arena fighting and ratchets up the principals' sexual frustration -- not my favorite tropes, but I do appreciate the cast of characters and the development what promises to be a multi-book storyline. Looking forward to the next.
This was my #DoubleSpin for December.
Book 3 was so good! Good plot, great action, so much uhmmm *tension* ⚔️🦁
Kate sneaks into a Battle Royale &joins up with the pack after a group of godly beings with a bias against shapeshifters attacks one of their own. Shhh don‘t tell the Beast Lord.
Doing corporate America, cubicle life things but I just want to check back in on Kate and Curran. Letsgoooo 🦁⚔️
If you like urban fantasy with strong female leads, similar to Briggs and Harrison, you will really like this series. I am really enjoying it so far. This next installment was as interesting and engaging as the prior ones. The premise is creative, the character descriptions provide a good visual and I found the story interesting. Definite must read if you enjoy the genre.
This series gets better with every book and now the tension between Kate and Curran is everything! The battle against more otherworldly creatures, saving a werewolf, learning Kate‘s history all comes together in a book I couldn‘t stop reading.
Sometimes I forget how GROSS some bits of this are. This brought to you by practically falling off my treadmill as I suddenly had a visceral EWW at a particular scene in the arena. Yikes.
Onto my next reread of this series! Gah, I love Kate's smartassery (and sometimes dumbassery wrapped in quippy comebacks).
May 2021 - rereading my favorite series and just makes me so happy - book Prozac
What can I say , Kate is my spirit animal ! Love this series!
My last book read of 2020 met my goodreads goal of 30 books read in 2020, here we go 2021 !
Altruism is fog created by sly minds seeking to benefit from the energy and skill of others Nothing more You‘re like a god from Greek myth,Saiman. You have no empathyYou have no concept of the world beyond your ego.Wanting something gives you an automatic right to obtain it by whatever means necessary with no regard to the damage it may do.In the end the gods always ended up miserable and alone. readathon is slower but enjoying

Finished the 3rd Kate Daniel‘s book today. Not my favorite even though there are a lot of steamy/will they won‘t they between Kate and Kern. I wasn‘t a huge fan of the magical games for some reason. It definitely made an interesting setting and different but I just felt something off. I did like learning more about Kate‘s history. And I‘ll definitely be reading more in this series.
Love!! Best one of the series so far! ❤️🔥
This is where the series really picks up, where we go from episodic to a more coherent narrative thread. Kate and Curran are heating up, supporting characters are developing more personality, and the stakes are getting higher. Really enjoying my series reread.
These books just make me laugh so. much.
Help me decide a #bookblanket thing, though! Should this book be just turquoise for fantasy, or turquoise/hot pink for fantasy/romance, now Kate and Curran's courtship is really getting off the ground? The previous books are just classified fantasy in the blanket. I do actually have a poll on Twitter: https://twitter.com/shanaqui/status/1148733448330387457 But comments with opinions works too.
“Fear is pain. It hurts. I sink into it and use it like a sharpening stone gliding against a sword. It makes me better, more aware. But I can‘t be scared for too long, or it will wear me out.”
“How do you make it stop?” “I kill.”
10/10.
1️⃣Book: Kate Daniels Series (it reminds me of Curran😍😂2️⃣Movie: The Lion King 😂3️⃣Song: Roar by Katy Perry. #MANICMONDAY @JoScho
Face paced and action packed. More so than the previous two. So much fun! I love these characters. I'm having fun bingeing these. #fantasy #urbanfantasy #shapeshifters
This book was great. A gladiator's arena, Andrea and Raphael continue to be adorable in the background, and plenty of my favorite character, Saiman. Side plot I loved was riding into the boarding school dressed as pirates to give the adopted daughter more street cred.
I couldn't stop laughing after reading this the first time. This is my 3rd read of the book, and I still laugh with this. God, I love this series.
First ever Litsy post. Stumbled across this amazing app on accident and fell in love with all the wonderful people. My #tbr pile keeps getting bigger too! #booktober
Finding a series that continues to deliver book after book like the Kate Daniels series is such a blessing and treasure. Magic Strikes again blew me away. It should be criminal to have such a unique, engaging, and appealing storyline and to have a narrator that brings every character to life.
Finally we get more emotional involvement in this book! In the first two it felt like a lot of set up. We get to see more of Kate's softer side and more details about her past. 👍 Loved it! ❤️
Continuing on with this series. I'm plowing through them and I love it.
I think somebody has a thing for the Beast Lord.
Continuing my reread.
