I was so excited to get an ARC of the new Frederick Backman but I have been stalling starting it because I don't want it to end. Am I weird? It's not like there won't be other books to read!

GondorGirl I was bad that way with the last Harry Potter book. I got it at the midnight release and carried it everywhere with me for days. Even though I had to avoid all social media (spoilers!) I wasn't ready to have the sectors be over. 7y

Without a doubt my #1 pet peeve is misspelled words 😫 it drives me nuts! Character names that i have no clue how to pronounce are so distracting. 😔 Weak endings. There is nothing worse than a really great story that just ends or leaves too many questions.

cathysaid 1. Name dropping to establish time frame rather than establishing it through description. 2. "Telling" the reader rather than "showing" the reader. For instance, telling the reader the mood is somber rather than showing the reader through a few descriptive paragraphs. 3. Using different fonts to represent different speakers or dialects. I have no idea why that makes me nuts but it does. 7y

Samary One of the book riot podcasts, someone wrote in, they did the math... his average family lifespan and his average book consumption per year and wanted a good strategy to prioritize!! Ultimately they said read what makes you happy, ditch what isn‘t working 🤘 7y

It started with only one mug. But they are quite as books, they don't want to be alone. 😂
Now I don't only have a problem with my book shelfs instead with my kitchen shelfs too.
Am I alone #hortingbookmugs?
Of course they are tea mugs. 😉

Mariposa_Bookworm I definitely need a 9 3/4 mug to go along with my TARDIS mug. The TARDIS disappears when you pour in hot coffee. It's amazing. 8y
