Due to a series of unforeseen circumstances, my 60 day plan turned into a 90 day plan, and I‘m behind on that too. So I‘m almost 1/3 of the way through the Bible now after my Jan 1 start. I really was hoping to finish in early March, or at least in time for my four-year Christian anniversary on March 16, but hey, I‘m just doing the best I can! #BibleBuddyRead

Luke Chapter 23 is a tough one… it covers Jesus being unjustly accused, tortured, crucified, and killed. Luke left out all the graphic gory detail though, which I do appreciate at this time of year. I prefer to reflect on the heaviness of that on Easter weekend. Yet we have hope, for we know tomorrow is coming!

Jesus told his disciples to feed the crowd of 5K that was listening to his teaching, but they had only five loaves of bread and two fish! Taking the 5 loaves and the 2 fish and looking up to heaven, Jesus gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up 12 basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over! 😮🥖🐟#AdventChallenge Day9 LukeChapter9
A woman had been hemorrhaging for 12 years and no one could heal her. In a crowd, she came up behind Jesus and touched the hem of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. This really got my attention in Luke Chapter 4, Day 4 of the #AdventChallenge: the devil knows the Bible inside and out—better than most of us! 😱 When Jesus was being tempted/tested by the devil in the wilderness, the devil himself quoted one of my favorite psalms word for word (Psalm 91:11-12). It disturbed me to hear a psalm that has comforted me like a warm blanket, being recited by the enemy.😠 Then Jesus wielded the Word right back.⚔️
What I found most fascinating in Luke chapter 3, Day 3 of the #AdventChallenge, is the genealogy of Jesus! It traces his ancestors all the way back to Adam! Here are some of the big names in the Bible that jumped out at me in Jesus‘ genealogy: King David, Boaz, Judah, Jacob, Isaac, Abraham, Noah, and Adam. What a family tree! 😮
Day 2, Chapter 2 of the #AdventChallenge! As a new mama, this touched my heart in a way it hadn‘t when I read it before becoming a mother. 💕🥰 Mamas, can you relate? Treasuring up every good and kind word spoken about your darling baby and tucking them away in your heart ❤️
Here‘s yesterday‘s Day one, Chapter 1 post! This passage jumped out at me… I hadn‘t realized that Mary had actually been informed and given her consent! 😃🙌🏻 #adventchallenge
