pickI love a good YA story and a good ❤️ story. Throw in some travel, and I‘m sold. I picked this book to relive my time in Europe. Listening to them travel to all the same places made me happy and sad all at once. Take me back to Europe!!! I‘d gladly travel with Sydney and her friend Kat, and of course Jackson! However, Leela needs to stay home. She was selfish and annoying and I couldn‘t stand her. Quick, easy, fun read! #Book20of2019

I read this last year but I keep recommending it to whoever asks me about a good book to read while they are going on vacation. The traveling aspect of this book was phenomenal! It felt like I was actually visiting the cities with them. Would highly recommend for your next road trip or abroad vacation.

pickI devoured this 375 page book in 5 hours! Yes, 5 hours. I had to know what would happen to all the characters, plus to Sydney with Jackson. Also, extra points for the main characters being from my home state Maryland! This book was a cute, light, fun read. I really want to know more about these characters in a sequel.

pickFABULOUS I thought that the book was absolutely amazing, the way it was written, the imagery, the characters. It was phenomenal! I would say that this book is definitely in my top 5 list of books to read anytime. I fell in love with all the characters and I especially felt the tension, the passion, the romance between Sydney and Jackson. The life of Sydney‘s had so many relatable moments for me. I loved how the book had a mixture of humor in it.

I went back and forth on what to read next (what else is new?!) and came down to a BOTM thriller or this YA. Thirty pages into what I'll call "teenage angst on a plane" and I'm thinking I should have picked the thriller ?
Not to say anything bad about this book, I just don't think it's what I'm in the mood for right now. Might be a bail for now and revisit later kind of deal!

62% in and I can not stand Leela. Every time she opens her mouth I want to roll my eyes.🙄. I feel so bad for Sydney. Other than whiney Leela I'm really enjoying this and it's making me want to travel.. now. Even though technically I'm not currently in the state where my home is.
They've done London, Amsterdam, Bruges, Paris, and are now off to Switzerland.

After a bit of a wait (forwarded mail 🙄) my July HootLoot arrived! I got in on the discounted boxes 😁 And it was so worth the wait - I love all the iconic London stuff and Downton Abbey and Sherlock Holmes.
The endpapers in this book are so stinking cute, I don't know where to stick the author autograph.

I did not like Sydneys friend, Leela. She was selfish, rude and inconsiderate. It annoyed me that Sydney just let it go. Some of the times she was too forgiving or too chill. I did like reading about the places they went to and the people they met.

It's always fun when a book you've been dying to read references the city you live in and your baseball team within the first few pages! This is the second book I've read this year where, unbeknownst to me prior to reading, the main character lives in Maryland. 🦀🐢❤️

pickThis book is SO adorable, and I am sad that it is not coming out until summer (though it is a perfect summer book! Or "pretend it is summer because it is so bloody cold outside" book, in this case ?) -- two besties take a European vacation together, but boy troubles, money troubles and family-back-home troubles keep messing with their well-designed itinerary. Funny, sexy and sweet, and will make you LONG for adventure and a scoop of gelato!
