Sunday is a former cop who lives a solitary life in #SouthCarolina when she is called upon to help find a teen who may be missing. I wasn‘t expecting a deviation away from the Tempe books when I picked this one up. It was fine but not special. I missed the science of the other series and this character was a bit too gun happy for my taste.

Although this is not a Temperence Brennan novel I really enjoyed the new character - Sunday Night. Good story line and plot. I look forward to the next book in this series.

I've read all of Kathy Reichs Temperance Brennan books and have loved them, but her YA books haven't been up to snuff for my tastes. This was a new standalone novel from Reichs, not YA and also not a Tempe book. I enjoyed it well enough and it's a quick read. Not as great as the Tempe books but recommended for crime fiction lovers. 3.5🌟 #47of2018

Took about 1/3 of the book for me to get over the fact that it wasn‘t a Tempe novel - but then I started to like the MC and her brother character! I suspect this may be a new series? Good overall thriller, didn‘t guess the overall ending, always a good thing!

Kathy Reichs! A Resus Macac off to the left kept trying to steal the show but still a fantastic talk. I‘m going to risk dark fiction and buy the titled.... if I regret it, Litsy will know but her talk was amazing!

I've never read one of the Temperence Brennan books (shocking, I know). I decided to try this one out when a coworker recommended it. I really liked the strong female protagonist, as well as the numerous twists and turns. An enjoyable plot-driven thriller that also managed to be an interesting character study.

For a fan of her Forensic Anthropology novels I was not excited to read this one. That being said, it wasn't terrible. It wasn't great either. It was only page turning for maybe 4 moments of intensity. Read it for a dose of escape.

I‘ve read all of Reichs books and loved them but this new book surprised me and it‘s main characters was totally awesome and skilled and troubled. A female ex-marine, ex-cop acting as a private eye! Fast-paced and loads of action! Fast read!

Saw this one at the library , Kathy Reichs is usually pretty good and didn‘t realize she had a new one out

Getting back in shape needs a good book to accompany it.

Loved this book. Sunday Night is the main character and she‘s a trip. Due to a horrible childhood(which I really hope to learn more about in the next book😬) she has anger issues. She‘s on the hunt for bombers and hopefully a survivor. She‘s paranoid, OCD, and lethal. Super smart, fun book. Hope this is the start of a new series.

I have read all of Kathy Reichs Bone Series books and love them. Two Nights was a slow read to me. It finally picked up toward the end.

Another day, another book signing. This time with Kathy Reichs. Exciting...I love Bones 😊

Decided to put Roland & his Ka-Tet on hold briefly. I am really enjoying this so far. Sunnie is a sassy, sarcastic, and troubled character & I am loving her right now. I have a feeling this will be a quick read & I can get back on my quest to the Dark Tower in no time.

Decisions, decisions! Do I put the Dark Tower on hold briefly & pick this up or do I continue with it & hope there is enough time left to read this before I have to return it?

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters and it kept me guessing page after page. Knowing that Sunday had her own demons to face while looking for the young girl gave the character motivation.

Although I don't think I really felt like reading this type of book right now, it was fun because Sunday Night is a badass. Lots of action in this one. 🌟🌟🌟🌟👌🏻

Decent mystery/thriller, but doesn't really stand out from the crowd. Entertaining and mostly fast-paced (there were a few parts that dragged a little). I liked the main character. I keep seeing this described as a stand alone, but I'm wondering if it will become a series.

🍭🍭🍭🍭This is a winding tale through many cities and has some pretty brawny and tenacious criminals. I enjoyed how this story almost races you to the finish line. An action packed book. I loved reading about the bad cult. Very interesting to me. The main character is a strong but unlikable woman. I think a follow up book could be interesting if she decides to continue the series.

The first of a new series. A great action packed thriller.

This is my most anticipated read for July! It comes out in just over a week. I was so excited when I was approved for the galley, and I can‘t wait to start it!
