Moving Day: A Thriller | 
Littens, I need your good vibes over the next few months. Today, I‘m moving my cats into my parents house while we wait to move into our new house. The cats have never moved before, now they have to move twice. Needless to say, I‘m extremely nervous. I also need good vibes on a good closing with both houses. As if that wasn‘t enough, I interviewed last week for a different position in my school that I really want. I need all the help I can get!

Crazeedi Where should we send notes to you? I want to get one sent! I've moved kitties like this before, if they are skittish will hide, if they are comfortable around people they'll be ok; if theres a room or place you can put them in with their food and litter till they're done being scared it might help. 5y
mcctrish That‘s a lot going on, I‘m a teacher 🇨🇦 our school year doesn‘t end until June 28th and I can‘t imagine all these things on top of the crazy of the month of June, it‘s so action packed and goes soooo fast! I hope everything goes well for you (edited) 5y

Purrfectpages @Crazeedi I forwarded my mail until mid August to my parents house, but didn‘t change my address formally. We have a property that we are slated to move in to the end of July, but a few issues have to be addressed there before that can happen as well. 5y
Purrfectpages @mcctrish yes, ideally I would have moved after school ended, but the latest our buyers could go was the 15th of June. We didn‘t want to risk the sale over a few weeks, but it definitely adds to the stress. I thought we got out of school late on the 25th, but you have us beat! 5y

Purrfectpages @Crazeedi thanks for the advice! Luckily my parents have a decent sized house and the cats know them, so I hope that helps. I‘ve gone back and forth on where to “release” them. At first I wanted to keep them in a closed room, but then I thought that might be more stressful. I think we decided on the living room. It‘s quiet, but has no doors so when they feel comfortable enough to explore, they can do so at their pace. 🤷♀️ 5y

TheLibrarian Good luck! I agree with @Crazeedi about leaving the cats in one room. Even if it‘s for a few hours. That‘s what we did with my cat when we moved since she gets stressed easily. Then she also knew where to find her litter box. If you‘re worried it could be too stressful, either your or one of parents could stay with the cats for a little bit in the room. Either way best of luck! 5y
Purrfectpages @TheLibrarian yes, although we technically own this house for a few more days I will be moving over today with the cats while my husband will help with the transition, but not move over today with me. I planned on staying with them in the room most of today and tomorrow, if need be. We are also putting both litter boxes in that room to start. 5y

JoScho Yes we have a new house-we close on it tomorrow but we have contractors doing some updates so we won‘t be moving in just yet. We also have three cats we have to moves and yes I still need a job. It is all stressful and exciting. Hang in there! We will get through it and be better in the long run 💗 5y
