New day; new book. I just wanna dig straight into DEATH IN D MINOR, but my breakfast reading featured a LOT of interruptions. Blah. Here‘s hoping for some more sustained time with it later.

I spent the first half of January with dogs who lived just far enough away from their nearest library branches that I couldn‘t walk over there on a whim. (This is why I decided not to do Auld Lang Spine this year. I hope I can score a spot next year.) Now I‘m home, with easy library access again, and I‘ve been able to make my premiere library haul of 2024! I got a LOT of stuff to make up for the dry spell.
While I still liked this book, Gethsemane did something so colossally stupid in it that I wanted to strangle her! The story was good if a little convoluted, and we meet a new and interesting ghost. I will definitely continue with this series. Started Kitchen Confidential and am a bit saddened by the number of throwaway references Bourdain makes to suicide. #audiowalk
It rained a fair amount earlier today, so I was afraid I wouldn‘t be able to get out and walk, but it stopped. In this book, Gethsemane and her brother-in-law who‘s visiting from the US, get involved in an art fraud case that turns into murder. #audiowalk
This was my #doublespin book this month. It was enough fun that I plan to track down the first of this series (since I think this is actually the second). This was filled with dry humor and constant action. I found it engaging, but didn‘t love it. For some reason I wasn‘t trying to solve the mystery myself, that would definitely have made me feel more strongly about it. #scarathlon2021 #treamslaughter @Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks
I‘ve got two lines already crossed off on my #bookspinbingo board this month, and a couple more close to done. Could this be the month I get a blackout? #scarathlon2021 #teamslaughter @Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks +40 pts

@Eggs and @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Posting late tonight, I actually WENT TO A BOOK STORE!!! It was so nice! Got 3 books I didn't need.😊
# Migrates
The tagged book is another cozy mystery series, classical musician Gethsemane Brown migrates from the US to Ireland to teach music at an all boys private school. She rents a sweet little cottage only to find out her unexpected roomie is a ghost that needs her help. Great series!
Ran errands and came home to find a gift waiting for me. Friend sent me Fangs, a cute card & pin. Found a couple books at Target (went for paper towels and toothpaste). Now, a candle, some tea, and book two of a series that‘s new to me and that I totally love. A good way to go into the weekend. 🥰
I really enjoyed the second installment in the Gethsemane Brown series. I've already order the 3rd book and look forward to continuing to follow Gethsemane cozy mysteries. 16pts

Another fun romp with Gethsemane Brown and her ghostly allies! This time, the art world is bring threatened by forgeries. Gethsemane works her musical and psychic detective skills as she protects her brother-in-law from arrest. I'm putting in my request for the next one now!
I did this on audio and it was really pleasant. Fun cozy mystery on a hot summer day!
My library‘s not had the last 3 ebooks that I was looking for - so odd for them. I like this series featuring a violinist who is stranded in an Irish village teaching music & living with a ghost. #featuresamusician #booked2019
I liked this one even more that book one. Still a huge fan of Gethsemane, though I would probably wouldn't be such a fan if I met her in person. I don't think my temper would like her character.
Picked this one as it is quite short to try to get over Heartless (I even reread Alice in Wonderland this morning)
#riotgrams Feb 2: current read (#2 and 3-- love Gordon's series and Tana French blurbed Perry's so that became a must read.)
I didn‘t like this one as much as the first one, but it was still entertaining. There wasn‘t nearly as much music in this one, and I kept getting the characters confused with each other. The narrator‘s attempts at accents were also distracting, so I may just read the next one! This was my cozy mystery for the Seasonal Challenge! #booked2018, but it would also work for #ReadHarder category as a mystery by a POC
Finished s3 of YOUNGER (not happy!) and thunderstorm is shaking the house (yay) so time to start a new book.
Switching gears to read this #Netgalley ARC. It publishes this month, so I have to boogie-woogie and get it read. 😁😁
