This book is about a silly wonky donkey who only has three legs and how he has to get through life like that because he was only born with three legs. He is silly, funny and a wonky donkey.
Great book to let students know it‘s okay to be different
This MF book is full of rhymes! The donkey isn‘t just wonky, but he‘s winky, cranky, spunky, and so much more! This book would be good for individual reading IR so kids can practice rhyming to themselves... and probably have a few giggles too. #ucflae3414sp21 https://kids.scholastic.com/kids/book/the-wonky-donkey-9780545261241/.

This spunky hanky-panky cranky stinky-dinky lanky honky-tonky winky wonky donkey is sure to grab their attention! The repetition throughout this MF book will help students become more familiar with the words, and would be great presented as a CR.
Do yourself a favor and Google the title of this book followed by the words Scottish grandmother reads. You‘re welcome.
The Wonkey Donkey is a hilarious about a donkey that has three legs. The book was originally a song that became a book for children. This F (fiction) book would be good for S. The authors website https://www.craigsmith.co.nz/Kids-Section/ has music tracks and an audio book to get the students more involved in the book. The UDL principal 5.2 using multiple tools for construction as well as EL 16 integrate speaking, listening, reading and
I scrolled through some books that I was hoping to read for the #BBRC and these where the titles that instantly made me smile! ♥️☺️ #MyTop5

This MF hilarious picture book is written by Craig Smith and Illustrated by Katz Cowley. One day, while walking down the street, they saw a donkey with 3 legs! It was such a wonky donkey. As the book continues the author adds things to the donkey to add adjectives that end in a y to the name of the Wonky Donkey. This book would be a fun book to CR with your students. This video shows the song that was created from the book and adds more visuals...
The words "hilarious internet sensation" very nearly put me off this book - what the internet finds hilarious is often of no interest whatsoever to your average bookworm! But I'm glad they didn't because this really is a great little book. It has a cheeky sense of humour and my 4 year old loved the tongue twisty descriptions of this most singular donkey. Great for reading out loud and encouraging participation.
Had the pleasure of taking care of my grandson this weekend,The Wonky Donkey is one of our favorites to read!🤓
Picked this up for my kids to open on Christmas Eve. We usually do two books before bed time on Dec 24th. I got them Mr. Tiger Goes Wild & this one!
Have you read it before? If you have kids this one is a must. It's hilarious.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Yes, the video of the grandma reading this is really funny but the book itself is pretty funny too! Great rhyming book for the little ones. I can't imagine anyone reading this without having a twitch of the lips.
#BookMail Pt2 I can‘t quite believe the whole world losing their minds over the tagged book. I‘ve read it to all my grandbabies & after a few repetitions you can‘t get it outta your head! This #kidsbookhaul is for a fellow #LitMail member coz it‘s sold out on every international bookstore, irl & online. I managed to get a copy on an Aussie only store, but a day later even they were sold out! The author needs to send flowers to that grandma!
I laugh every time I watch this video - glad to hear that the author is benefiting from a spike in sales! The article I read says it ranked no. 2 among ALL books on Amazon on Friday. And if you've been trying to get your hands on a copy - the publisher is rushing to print another 50K copies 😄
You guys, I just can‘t! 🤣🤣🤣
My stomach is hurting and I just cried laughing. We sat here watching this and it just made my day. Love it! I know it‘s been shared already, but you all need to watch it.

I so hope the link (in comments) works because OMG, this video!😍
I work in a Children‘s Library & Storytime is my favorite thing. Sometimes, though, you just get overcome with emotion! One fateful Easter, I tried to read all the Knuffle Bunny books in a row & ended up crying. 😅 (Trixie grows up into such a kind-hearted individual!) Anyway, THIS is one of the reasons it‘s important to read to your child; it‘s just as good for you as it is them!
If anyone needs a good laugh, watch this video of a Scottish grandma reading "The Wonky Donkey" to her grandson. Her laugh is infectious! ?
