Several months ago, I made an elephant from the Woolbuddies book and it became Hufflefluff‘s favorite thing ever. Unfortunately though, he‘s played with it so much that over time it‘s deteriorated into nothing more than a small ball of grey lint that lives under the couch. So for Christmas this year, Santa‘s elves have made him a brand new elephant woolbuddy! #christmas

Guys, prepare for tons of woolbuddies—I have discovered a new roving wool source! I bought a restock of white wool at the farmers market! The farmer lives right in my town and gave me her contact info for whenever I‘m in need! Waaay cheaper than buying online and I‘m not forced to buy in bulk. Yay!!! It‘s alpaca wool and is wicked soft! I‘m so giddy about this find, I thought I was doomed when our felting craft store closed.

100% recommend this book as a place to start if you want to learn the craft of felting! It taught me all the basics very quickly. There are tons of fun and easy projects for beginners. The projects get gradually harder as you go through the book. I was planning on doing every project, but I unintentionally stopped at a certain point because I got to the stage where I could improvise and figure out things for myself, including adding attachments!

I‘m making my newborn nephew, Robin a baby mobile, made up of robins. The first “robin” is now complete! #catsoflitsy

Friend #2 is getting a mall Easter bunny. Hoppy Easter. 🐣

I have a couple of friends coming over for Easter and I‘m making them Easter baskets, including improvised woolbuddy friends. I made my friend a chicken with a nest.

Son of a bitch, our felting supply store closed. So much for my new hobby.

My sister: “You should make a woolbuddy for Willow!” (Willow is my 2-year-old niece)
Me: “That‘s a terrible idea.”
My sister: “No, she‘d love these!”

I sigh and obediently make her a fox so she doesn‘t think I love my cats more than her. Within 2 minutes she has successfully ripped off all of the limbs, the tail, and one eye. Then proceeded to cry and wail because she f‘d up her fox. Then she fed it to the dog. RIP Henry the Fox. Curse toddlers.

I was angsting, so my friend came over and we had a stabbing party. She made a penguin for her cat, and I made Henry the Fox for my niece, because my butthead cat rearranged the furniture with his new adopted brother last night, and then scratched my eyelid.

Dart rejected this one again, he thinks he has enough woolbuddies! So here is New Cat‘s first woolbuddy, which took me forever to complete. Eunice the Sheep! #catsoflitsy

Our boy gets lonely, so we just adopted an additional cat for me to make Woolbuddies for! He reminded us so much of Moppet with his shyness and temperament, that we both started tearing up and just had to bring him home. He is acting sad and mopey and won‘t leave his carrier, which makes me sad and mopey. I know this is normal, but I hate this part and feel horrible. 😞 I hope him and Dart become best of friends in the coming weeks. #catsoflitsy

Another new friend for the boy! Stanley the Frog. (Or Stan Lee according to me.) He‘s the last one until I can get to the store this weekend because I am fresh out of white wool and don‘t have any good alternatives.

But does cat approve of Amelia? That is the important question. I think yes, and predict he will lose her under the couch by tomorrow morning. #catsoflitsy

Made mine a little different, but here‘s Amelia the Owl and the reason why I‘m incapable of finishing the last 3 chapters of my book! Took me 2 days to make her, and 90% of that was fussing with the ears!

The book I ordered the other day has arrived at my doorstep! Poor UPS guy! It‘s 2 degrees outside! The penguin I made last week that came out nicely and I was quite proud of (that my cat has since lost) was a woolbuddy, so I‘m trying their book that is hopefully more “my level” than the last book! Good timing for it, because I‘m not leaving the house this weekend.

I just ordered this book on Amazon after this abomination I created that even the cat disapproves of! Hope it is a better book for the inept. #catsoflitsy
