This was an interesting look into Assail and Sola‘s relationship. It is always funny to see him and his cousins snapping to attention and taking orders from her grandmother. I have a feeling she and Fritz would get along well; although, she would likely try to do the cooking and send him out for the groceries. The strong females in this story really bring it to a whole other level for the BDB universe.

I was really excited to get my mitts on this because SOLA AND ASSAIL ! But their romance kind of fell flat, especially after all the drama involving involving Xcor and Layla in the last book, to say nothing of the drama with Rhage, Mary and Biddy. Good thing there was that whole thing with Jane and V, but even that felt more like an intro to a new phase to this story in preparation for the books that are yet to come.

Calling it a night. I only have 10 chapters left but I can barely keep my eyes open. I'll be back after some rest to finish this book and start the next.

I think it is time to break up with this series. Well it was fun for a big, I find myself not caring anymore. There are much better books for me out there.

I was able to get the newest book in the series out of the library but realized I never read this one. Guess I will be spending the next few days with these books.

This book is about Sola and Assail and is set one year after she heads to Miami. It also includes Jane and V's issues coming to a head and getting resolved. A reread before I get my hands on the new one.

Ok, I‘m ranting! This isn‘t one of her best books!! It‘s irritating how many things were left incompleted so she can write more books. She did well in her previous books but this felt so scattered and uncompleted and too many sex scenes which I skipped over bc it‘s getting old. Those who read it, what‘s your thoughts?

V - “No one ever disagrees with me. But you.”
Jane - “Not one of my virtues, huh.”
V - “Actually, it‘s a part of you I love most.”

I really like all books about the Black Dagger Brotherhood. This one seemed to be a bridge story. I will be happy to see what comes next.

I really can‘t get enough of this series. I binged every book for the last two months. In this one there‘s concurrent relationship issues which are course corrected by the end - obvi - but still fun!

This book is a series. The books center around the BDB--- Black Dagger Brotherhood. This book has several important storylines going on. A new half-breed, marital discord, the Sanctuary, good vs. evil, and more. I highly recommend this book,however, it is not a stand-a-alone. Read the whole series! It is awesome.

I just finished this book today. I loved it! I really enjoy the BDB world. The Brothers crack me up, break my heart and give me an escape from reality. I wish I didn‘t read them so fast! Lol now I have to wait...#bookloverproblem

#BookMail Pt3 is one of my guilty pleasures, The Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R.Ward. The thief is Bk16 & unfortunately it‘s starting to take a Laurel.K.Hamilton slide into “silly soft porn” which is a bummer. Hopefully she manages to pull out of her tailspin & save her characters & readers. This book is about Assail & Sola. #nomoregratuitoussexscenesplease #credityourreaderswithsomeintelligence

It wasn‘t my favourite of the series, but it was still a great read. I was so excited for Assail and Sola‘s book, making my one complaint that there wasn‘t enough of them. ☹️ I felt like it was more a V and Jane story, and they aren‘t my favourite characters... (Team Butch all the way😉). I do hope the Warden continues Assail and Sola‘s story, because I feel it‘s far from over.

Only about a fourth of the way into this book right now but V is starting to get me PO'd. Looking back I was angry at the character quiet a bit in the previous BDB main story book (the Chosen) as well. I hope this isn't a new trend in these books.

So I went to work last night and was greeted with "oh Sam, there is a pile of parcels for you in the office" ?? can't wait to get started on the latest BDB novel ? (ps. It's just coincidence that all the books in this haul are blue ?)

Not my favorite in the series, but was still a good read. Finished in time for the book event on Sunday in Cincinnati!
