Very short read with some interesting words from around the world. The beautiful illustrations are what make this book.

Finally put together my December #BookspinBingo! Coincidently, both book picks have similar titles…
#Bookspin: Other Wordly
#Doublespin: Other Birds
I‘ve already marked off books I‘ve read so far in December in free spaces. Truthfully, I don‘t think I‘ll have time to finish too many more books this month, but I have two flights that I can hopefully get some reading in and two books I am already currently reading, so fingers crossed 🤞🏼!
Beautiful pictures and some amazing words, even some English ones, I have not heard of before!
Another shirt and sweet book to read between all the journaling my others are asking me to do!
This little book was a real pleasure to read. I enjoyed the selection of words from all over the world by Yee-Lum Mak, but what really seduced me in this book are the marvellous illustrations by Kelsey Garrity-Riley.

Slowly but surely making my way through my piles of books 🤗
Bibliosmia. I‘ll have to try and work it into some conversations 😊📚
Our special section in such a cute, even tiny book. Several words are made up in a group and the drawing fits perfectly to the words. I am so in love with this book. Thank you @jmofo for choosing this one for me for #fffs. 😍💖
A short, fun read. The trick is working these fun new words into conversations!
Like an apothecary for books? I love this!!! 🌿📚🌿

#riotgrams day 25: panels, pictures, illustrations
This book is about interesting words in other languages, which is really cool to read about, but honestly I bought this book for these adorable illustrations 🖼
#TBRtemptation post 6! A thin book that would be a beautiful addition to any coffee table's aesthetic. This is an irresistible book for word-lovers and those lost for that right word. Learn the terms for: the sunlight that filters through the leaves; dancing awkwardly with relish; the look two people share when they want the other to speak first. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
TSUNDOKU (noun, Japanese)
buying books and not reading them; letting books pile up unread on shelves or floors or nightstands. I never regret time spent with this lovely, informative book. See more words & illustrations here (or buy it!) : https://www.chroniclebooks.com/blog/2016/10/28/8-strange-lovely-words-from-aroun...
This is a such a delight with various definitions, in English and other languages, as well as lovely illustrations.

I love this book. The illustrations are lovely and it's fascinating to see what other cultures needed words to express. This is my favorite page for reasons I know I don't have to explain. 😄
Another gift from my wonderful wife, @WanderingBookaneer 💜💜💜
Have you ever seen such a beautiful book? It's a gift; going to be hard to hand this one over. Maybe she'll let me borrow it... #otherwordly #beautifulbooks
