This book revealed ageism, even though it had a strong focus on "Millennials" it definitely covered the expectations of how we need to look like and demand to keep up with being "considered feminine but non threatening". ??+?=?♀️

Ok, so I recently started watching the show Younger and got hooked. And then I learned it was based on a book, so of course I had to check it out. The book and show are quite different in many ways, but I enjoyed both. (Still have a few seasons to go on the show)
⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I liked this book as a companion to the show. I love the characters and the talent on the show, and this was nice to see where the content originated.
This is such a fun read. I adore the show and am waiting impatiently for the last season. This was a great way to tide me over, but it's also a completely different story. I really like Maggie's storyline in the book and she's a more important character from the beginning. It also reminded me how much I love Alice (Liza in the show) & Josh together. Josh is more mature here and the show does a great job at adding drama, but this was a fun romance.
I love the show Younger, so excited to see how the book it was based on differs! So far the most confusing part is Alice's (Eliza in the show) daughter is named Diana. I'll be curious if there is a boss "Diana" in the book.
Anyone watch this? I‘ve been seeing commercials for it for years and never even considered watching it. I had no real idea what it was even about. This week I started binge watching it and cannot stop!! What a fun look inside the cutthroat world of publishing! I just started the current season, no 5.
1. I don‘t know if she‘s my all time fav, but I love Sutton Foster!
2. Not really, I‘m very much a night owl, so if I get to bed before 2am it‘s a good day.
3. Memoir. Big surprise, I know. ☺️
4. Right now it‘s my very new and sharp chef knife I just got for work.
5. Closest and visited most often is my library, but it is still 20 minutes away.

I‘ve been waiting all week to have time to watch he season 5 premiere of Younger!! So pumped!
No clue what took me so long but I FINALLY binge watched Younger (in like 4 days, I'm so obsessed).
1. It's set in publishing - how did I not know that?
2. I'm hardcore crushed out on Josh 😍🔥
3. Why are the episodes so darn short?!
And 4., WHAT JUST HAPPENED IN THAT FINALE?!
If you need me I'll be over here biting my nails in anticipation until June 5th. Shoutout to @Kaylamburson for putting up with my frantic texts when I hit plot twists 😂
2. I got the tv remote all to myself
3. Reading People
4. What was Forrest Gump‘s email password? “1forrest1”
5. 1 to 2 hours unless I fall down the rabbit hole

My reading slump is still going strong, but in the last two weeks I've watched the first three seasons of Younger. I love this show for many reasons, but the setting in a publishing house filled with inside jokes based on real books is definitely one of them.
this show, y'all! I've binged it so hard this weekend. it's funny and romantic, plus the characters work in publishing so there are some great bookish storylines and literary references! I'm obsessed. #litsypartyofone #bookishtv
3.5 stars. I actually much prefer the show to the book. Maybe I would have liked it better if I had read the book first. My main complaint is that 90% of this book is Alice's (Liza) inner monologue. It gets a bit tiresome at times. #audiobook
Anybody out there watch this show? I'm a bit behind and need to catch up, but I've had the audiobook forever and decided to dive in. I needed something light. #audiobook
YOUNGER is streaming on Hulu and I can't stop watching! And laughing hysterically at their portrayal of publishing.
Oh TBR, please forgive me while I maniacally binge all seasons of this show (which is at least tangentially about books...which must count for something!?)! 📚📺❤️
I really don't know what to make of this book. I LOVE the TV show and this book, other than Maggie, are nothing like each other. Which in some ways good because I think had I read this book before watching the show, it would have ruined the show. The book ended up being better at the end but there were a couple of unanswered questions which is super frustrating. Overall, I'd give this book like 3.2 stars.
Was about to start reading, but my friend convinced me to start watching Younger. I'm already addicted to this publishing story. Has anyone read the books? Are they any good?
I am so in love with the show Younger and was so excited when I realized it is based on a book! Unfortunately it just didn't have the same sparkle as the show. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I didn't have the show to compare it to. (Also, TV Josh, tattoo artist > Book Josh, video game developer)
Is anyone watching Younger on TVLand? I am loving this show, even if it does require some suspension of disbelief. A romantic comedy set at publishing house? I'm in!
