Throughout the book I enjoyed that Jim's friends were trying to cheer him up but nobody really tried to help him out

The sun was too bright, the sky was too blue, and the bananas were too sweet.
This book can identify and let student know it ok to have bad days. As well as be there for your friends!
Grumpy Monkey by Suzanne lang was published in 2018. The illustrations are very realistic and detailed. This was a great book to show emotions and that it's okay to feel them! A great visual book for students.
"Are you still grumpy?" "Yes," said Jim, "but I'll probably feel better soon enough, too. For now, I need to be grumpy." "It's a wonderful day to be grumpy," said Norman. Jim agreed.
This book is super cute and a great way for children to feel their emotions. The colors are vivid and captivating. By having so many animals the kids will be able to find one to connect with. I also like this story because it‘s subtle poetry that kids can follow along before moving onto the harder stuff.
This book is a book about emotions and it being okay to feel grumpy and all kinds of emotions. In the story Jim's friends try various ways to cheer him up, but Jim learns that it's okay to feel grumpy sometimes.
Another must for your kids or grandkids library! Jim is grumpy, Jim Panzee!😜
Funny and adventurous children's book that lets us all know that it's ok to feel grumpy sometimes 😄 Nice read with great illustrations!

So often, we're advised to fix "it" when grumpy or upset. Thankfully, that's not the moral of this story. After several failed attempts, the main characters learn to simply meet their feelings. The illustrations offer humor to several frustrating situations. Great way to introduce meditation or growth mindset. #dw2020reads
I loved this book! This F story is about a little monkey who is told he looks grumpy over and over by his friends and then he suddenly becomes grumpy and feels bad about feeling down. He finds another friend who is also Grumpy and he tells him that it is a great day to be grumpy and they both start feeling better.
The New York Times Best Selling F Picture Book, The Grumpy Monkey is about a monkey who just can‘t have a good day. In his eyes everything is going wrong, and he is just not happy. This book is hilarious, and children would love it and it teaches them how to handle their emotions. This would absolutely work as a RT script and aid students with fluency.

An irresistible little book where it's okay to feel grumpy, and to be unsure about where your grumpiness comes from.
Grumpy Monkey is a humorous story about a monkey who just can‘t seem to like anything for the day! Everything is wrong, and though Jim Chimpanzee‘s friends try to tell him he is grumpy, he remains in denial, until he comes across another grumpy friend and realizes maybe everyone is right. The illustrations maximize the humorous book, making it a New York Times Best Selling Picture Book. #ucflae3414f19
This. Cover. Is. The. Best.
And there‘s a really great story about feelings inside.
Grumpy Monkey by: Suzanne Lang and Illustrated by Max Lang is a comical Animal Fantasy book about Mr Grumpy himself: Jim Panzee. This book is awesome for teaching children about handling emotions. Strategies to be included in a RT lesson for grumpy monkey include ESL 6 and UDL. 5.3. Attached is a Readers theatre script for the text. Great for building fluency! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Dx8WvhWJ7-TXONpIxWGtFb1nRJVsEkEG-veH1F1yjB4/...
Sometimes, despite all the good intentions and advice, you just have to be grumpy. Jim Panzee has a day where nothing is right, and he just has to ride that wave. Super cute and funny.
The first that came to mind for #bestbookfriendship for me was definitely Calvin & Hobbes! I love those two! But I'd also like to share one of my fav reads with my LO recently (tagged book), showing us that it's ok to not be in our best moods sometimes. Your best buddy will understand & will love you just the way you are, others that don't, don't matter anyway :)

@BookishMarginalia and I both loved this book about not being able to pinpoint why you feel a certain way and how there‘s nothing other people can do to improve your mood. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
AppRently some days it‘s okay to be grumpy! This book was cute! Feel your feelings!!!
