The story started out strong for me, I was really feeling it, but somewhere along the way it lost something, it felt bogged down, a little sluggish even...it could be just the subject matter itself, though. Overall, it was a decent look at the resistance fighters in WWII and how difficult it was for them.

pickFinished and sent off the last two #lmpbc books two weeks ago.
Resistance was @LibrarianRyan ‘s pick. I LOVED this book! The action kept things moving along at a nice pace & holds the attention of younger readers, while still keeping the history lessons intact. I remember reading and enjoying Anne Frank as a child, but I think this book is going to resonate better as an engaging, contemporary read for kids who may not have enjoyed Anne Frank.

Dear #LPMBC #mg group. You are going to notice a small problem with the book when I send it out. Demon (the puppy) actually took it out of the book sleeve to chew on it. 🤬. None of the words have been hurt, just the upper corner of the pages.
This puppy has been chewing on everything. And yes she has a TON of chew toys and bones. Doesn‘t matter. 😤. I love her 99% of the time. She is adorable. But...... NOT MY BOOKS.

Although I have heard of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, this YA novel is the first I‘ve read on this topic. Nielsen‘s novel is well researched- another great addition to the large collection of WWII books already published
