A cute but deranged little collection of comic strips exhibiting different phobias and deep-seated fears.
I thought the artwork was going to be more graphic novel style for some reason but it is not that way. They look like Sunday morning comics. Still, it was very interesting to read and fun nonetheless. It was interesting to read about fears that I never would have thought of before.

Such a cute book!! (Not sure if it‘s themed I mean some of the fears are monsters but not all)

A few of those things make me slightly uncomfortable, but overall I‘m not afraid of any of them.

This book touts itself as “a devilishly funny collection of 101 comics that explores our most gruesome, hilarious, and bizarre fears....” Should be right up my alley. Totally inappropriate and darkly comic. Unfortunately, the majority of this book was eye-rolling silly, IMO. A few of the comics fit the description - sort of (the photo is of one I thought was ok), the style was good, and it was short.

I didn‘t expect to enjoy this as much as I did. It is basically illustrations of people‘s odd fears, of which we all have a few. Some literally made me laugh out loud, others were disturbing and may have added to my list of weird fears. Super fast read.

Deep Dark Fears by Fran Krause is a wonderful collection of illustrated fears that range from silly to the absolutely terrifying. This was such an interesting collection! One of my takeaways was simply how one thing said by one person can stick with and totally haunt another for years and years!

This was enjoyable if, like me, you are a dark person. It might be fine even if you aren't. I was struck by how many of the fears were instigated by parents. I'm torn between finding that horrible and funny, which is one reason it's good I'm not a parent!

I've been a fan of Fran Krause's Deep Dark Fears for a really long time, and being able to have them in book form is just ❤️. A super cute and easy read, and a reminder that we're all a little weird and unconventional sometimes!

This one made me laugh out loud... the the library. Awkward. 🤐 check it out if you'd like to see some shared childhood fears drawn into beautiful comics. I'll be sharing a few because they are just so good.
