DNFing at 40%… I could probably suffer through this book but would not consider continuing the series. So it seems pointless. someone tell this MC what is going on. 😂 both of the guys are so bland. I have an inkling about how this story will go, but I have read 234 pages & nothing has happened except some boy who is probably a vampire ate a strawberry in her direction, walked her to class & smelled her hair.

This book made me feel so nostalgic for being a preteen in the twilight era and I would have been OBSESSED if I was 12. Unfortunately I‘m not 12.

Yes it was ridiculous in a lot of ways I don‘t feel fair judging it for, but the one I can‘t get over is the ‘very desirable‘ male lead having no personality traits at all. I literally can‘t tell you a fact about him apart from occasional random violence.

Brought back memories of twilight ❤️ overall, it was entertaining and cute.

OMG! I never expected that at 58 years old I would enjoy a YA fiction book so much. It‘s a bit cheesy (teenage romance 🥰) and probably a bit like the Twilight series (never read it but saw the movies), but it has a good storyline and plenty of adventure to keep you interested. It‘s certainly not like any school I went to; but then how many schools have vampires, dragons, werewolves and witches? #SeriesLove2024 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView

I thought I‘d try something a bit out of my comfort zone. I don‘t usually read Young Adult books, but this involves vampires, a subject I love to read about. (Creepy, I know.)

At first I wasn‘t sure what to think of this book. It was pretty basic and cringy in the beginning but after like the first half of the book, I was hooked. At that point I felt like it started to get good and I actually enjoyed reading the book.

I‘m not sure how I feel about this book quite yet. I‘m only a few chapters in and am feeling pretty neutral about it. I just got off a book binge of reading three books in two days so we will see how this one goes 🤪

I can see why so many say its like twilight and although it has many similarities to me this one is so much better. It's been a while since last time I got so invested in the series that I started the next book right away but is happening now. And I'm so excited to continue 🤗

First of all, the cover is an overt rip-off of Twilight. Some writing things that annoyed me: Shivers or chills that had nothing to do with the cold or Alaska. Text shorthands. Feelings ‘deep inside‘. Why did it take half the book to reveal the magical secrets? So obvious. Grace is so annoyingly desperate. Goes way more in depth on the romance of the story than world-building.

Okay, so I picked this book because it was available, but it was better then I thought. It's a teen book, so it's angsty, but I liked the story.

Grace moves to Alaska for school after her parents died. Right off the bat she notices it‘s not a normal school. Jaxon has piqued her interest in many ways. What‘s everyone hiding?
This was ok. It‘s not trying to be Twilight. There are a lot of different elements from Twilight. It was funny; I especially liked the chapter titles. There was romance & magic, but most of the characters were a little flat. The plot could‘ve also been a little better.

I listened to the audiobook of this book. It was an okay read to past the time with when I am busy cleaning or crocheting. I will continue the series. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars. I read this book for #MarvellousMarchReadathon @Andrew65

Even with the plagiarism from Dirty Dancing, the overuse of the word “incredulous”, and the desperation to prove she‘s not Bella Swan, I still liked to this book. I‘m not in any hurry to read anymore that follow though.

Definite Twilight vibes...with a darker twist and slightly more mature main characters. The monster lore took on a refreshing note form other books I've read and gave the story more freedom. This is the first book YA romance book I've read in a few years but, it was fast paced and didn't make me hate any characters for being whiny or bratty. You appreciate each character for their own agendas.

Mixed feelings about this book. At the start it reminded me so much of Twilight and Legacies that I was irritated at the author. I decided to power through and then found myself getting frustrated that it went on and on before getting to any content worth being excited over. Then finally, the book grabbed my attention enough to give the second book a try.

Crave started off a bit slow, but really picked up about 2/3 of the way through. Not a fan of the instalove, but enjoyed the world enough that it didn‘t matter. Ended in a cliffhanger, with a twist, that I am eager to see what happens next.

It‘s like Twilight meets Legacies! The juvenile writing style and back and forth gave it a slight After vibe too haha (very Wattpadish). The beginning of the story DRAGS but it picked up at the end and it was a great cliffhanger! Not sure when I‘ll read the next one, these books are incredibly long.

Decided to pick this one up and see what all the hype is about. 25% in and I‘m not sure how I feel about it yet!

Alrighty where do I begin? I read this book halfway (chapter 34) and gave up because I couldn‘t get past the ridiculousness of the plot. (Which fyi hasn‘t even begun yet!)

Definitely a wattpad cringe- fest of Twilight, with EXTRA angst and a sprinkle of intense steamy romance. (there has been zero physical contact till as far as I read and yet sooo steamy 😂) This is yet another overhyped vampire trope.

Rating 2/5 (for the twilight reference)

LOVED THIS BOOK! Listened to it on Audible and am ready for number 2. What did you think of it?

The first half of this book, 200 pages, almost drove me insane. Once the real story started I did need to finish to understand why Jaxon was so protective of Grace. Twilight cover tells you what this is almost like. Vampires, witches, dragons and one more mystical creature who go to a private school in Alaska. Will I read the other books? No but this series would be good for tweens who miss Twilight.

This was worse than Disney romance themes. There was a mix of evry pop culture vampire books/TV shows (twilight, vampire diaries, legacies, immortals etc.) Boy vampires acts like a D word then an intimate moment follows immediately after the toxic behavior. They just meat and he is touching her without permission! HE IS A STRANGER YOU DONT KNOW HIS NAME YET!! There was the team Edward vs Jacob theme but a dragon not a werewolf. So much is wrong

This was okay read but there happened almost nothing during the first 50 % of the book. The last 50 % was so much better. I had nice time with this book and I am going to continue the series - after that kind of cliff hanger I really have to :D

There were several fun phrases and this book made me smile several times ( #Adventathon )

⭐⭐⭐⭐ This book was definitely all about character development....Grace was for sure naive but still excited to continue with this series.
I loved how she could read people's feelings through their eyes!
