I‘m calling it for this year and am surprised and happy about my numbers for 2023…a record for me.
I‘m in the middle of an adventure with Maisie that will be my start for 2024. Maisie Dobbs is ALWAYS a good beginning. 😉😊👍
Last year (i.e., yesterday) I didn‘t fulfill my Goodreads goal, even after having adjusted it down in the middle of the year. This year I‘m not setting a numerical goal, but I‘ve tagged a boatload of books I want to read for #ReadingTheAmericas2023 and various book clubs I belong to, plus new books by authors I‘ve read and liked before. If I have a particular resolution, it‘s to read more and fiddle with my TBR list less. #sundayfunday
YEAR IN REVIEW- 2022 Goals
📚I did surpass my #Goodreads book goal : 96 of 70.
📚Read 7 of 12 nonfiction
📚Got about half of the PopSugar Challenge prompts
📚Read 3 books with HOUSE in the title for my #BuzzWord challenge
📚Did not finish the book I‘m reading one chapter a day.
I like the challenge of setting goals but don‘t stress if I don‘t meet them 😉. It‘s all about picking the next book from the #TBR. Time to set next year‘s!
This is a new record for me and we still have a few weeks left to go! Granted almost 70% of this is from audiobooks (it‘s become my favorite way to experience books) but I‘m still super impressed with myself 🤣
Not a bad year at all. Honestly, it was pretty great, reading for YALSA‘s Quick Picks for Reluctant Readers list, work book groups, and more.
My 2021 year-end wrap-up. My reading totals took a bit of a dive this year, but that‘s what happens when you work in healthcare during a global pandemic. 🤷🏻♀️😖
Here‘s to 2022! May the world move closer to a COVID-free existence. 🤞🏼(Get vaccinated, people!)
I had a great reading year and ended up 12 books over my goal. Looking forward to new author and genre experiences in 2022.
What a great reading year. I slowed down significantly in the last quarter, but am so proud of how much I read and how many were such good reading experiences. 📚 Cheers to all for more great reading in 2022! 🍾🥂🥳
I didn't give myself a chance to post this wrap-up on Thursday, but I'm eager to put this past year behind me (I'm sure all of us are!), not look at the rear view mirror, and just stare straight ahead. Hello 2021!
My #GoodreadsChallenge intentions for the new year are to:
1. Complete it by the end of June 🤞🍀💜📚
2. Go above said challenge by 48 books.
3. Bump up my average book length to above 200 pages.
4. Read more than 18,000 pages.
