Wrap for January #WickedWords @AsYouWish
Two romance novels, two SF, and a graphic novel. I'm not sure if my pick would be Love Laodice or This is How You Lose the Time War; they're so different that I have no way to compare them.

That's a wrap on October! A real mixed bag this time - a historical fantasy romance novel, a YA sports graphic novel, a novel about WWII Navajo code talkers, a memoir of a 1980s nurse, and essays on crafting.

Have you ever read a book where the songs from the movie are turned into dialogue? The book follows the movie pretty closely, but there are moments added & some parts have been changed completely. I loved this book, it is on the top of my list for rereads. Plus Grease 2 is way better than Grease (yes, I said it and I stand by it!!)

This was a reread for me and I loved it just as much as I did originally! I have always thought this was a super cool way of introducing Shakespeare to teens and young adults. Some parts are different from the movie (not sure why) and other parts are screen captured goodness!

A good mix of books for Wicked Words this month! A graphic novel, a LGBTQIA+ SF YA anthology, a historical romance, a contemporary romance, and a prequel.
Pick of the crop: I think An Unexpected Party, though if you're not in Australia it might be hard to get your hands on. It's a homegrown Western Australian book.

I read it (my first time) and I have to say it was not as scary as I thought it would be. Then again I have watched the movie many times, so I knew main plot points of the book (and thanks to Joey on Friends for “accidentally” spoiling the ending). Over all I enjoyed it and it was a good snowy day book to read.
It's been a pretty good month of reading so far! Knocked out #WickedWords @AsYouWish
Not sure if I enjoyed Kaiju Preservation Society or Paladin's Grace more, but they were both a fun ride from authors who I always vibe with.
Hello 2024! Congrats everyone who finished all the words in 2023 or finished any words because that mean you got books off your TBRs!
By popular vote, every month is going to have a theme, the overall theme of the year is books that are also movies.
The Catch: I am not going to reveal the book/movie until the end of the month, so you are welcome to guess when logging books!
