This was the best of the three books. For all the Stephen King Constant Readers out there, you will recognize all the characters from King‘s multiverse. A surprisingly poignant ending to Gwendy‘s story. I think I like these books more as a collective than as individuals, though.

This book seems to polarize readers on Goodreads; they either loved it or hated it. I liked it quite a bit. The plot is a bit improbable, but I could suspend disbelief. I loved the references to the Dark Tower series, and I like Gwendy. I also finished Death in Disguise on my #audiowalk. I liked it as well, just not as much as the first two. There‘s too much focus on the day-to-day lives of the commune members, making the book too long.

A tree came down on an electrical line, one of our trees caught on fire (it‘s out now), our power is out, and the fire department has told us to stay inside the house. Since I can‘t work, I‘m reading Gwendy‘s Final Task in bed because I have a lot of natural light coming in that window. #weirdFriday

After many, many rainy days, the sun was out today, so we took advantage of that and went to the beach. The Concrete Blonde was our road trip book; Gwendy‘s Final Task was my beach read; and A Natural Woman continued to be my walking book. It‘s pretty long — I still have 4 hours left. #audiowalk

Dont kno what to think of this book so far. Not really caring for it to much. Has anyone else read Gwendy‘s final task? Does it pick up?

He‘s back!!! Or I should say they are back! King with co-writer Richard Chizmar wrote the sequel to Gwedy‘s Button Box. They didn‘t miss a stitch in weaving this fast paced intriguing tale to a brilliant conclusion. A smidge of happy Trump pounding to boot. Such a pleasant use of a day. Absolutely joyfully compelling jaunt.

At the airport, on my way to #BLC22 (book lover‘s con) so of course I‘m reading! Just finished Go Hex Yourself and I‘m moving on to Stephen King…

I could not put this book down. I love Stephen kings novels and space adventure which I was surprised to find in this novel but pleasantly so.

A really good ending book to the Gwendy trilogy. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first two but the plot is very unique. The ending is very satisfying and I really enjoyed this and the three books.

This final book did an excellent job of wrapping things up and connecting it back to King's expansive universe.

🎧 I enjoyed this little book.

Gwendy‘s story started when she was 12. Here she‘s in her 60‘s, still a senator, on her way to Mars during a pandemic.

She no longer wants to worry about the box so here she is, in space, trying to finally get rid of it.

Gwendy‘s memory isn‘t as good as it used to be. Each time I caught a mention of The Dark Tower I thought how much I love fan service!!

Fun collection. Sad ending. Loved it!

I absolutely adore Gwendy‘s Button Box and it‘s my fave SK book. Book 2 was good but the lack of SK showed. I‘m so glad he joined Richard Chizmar again for book 3 and the conclusion of this series. I got the #audiobook this time and devoured it in one day. I loved the way Gwendy‘s story turned out and I highly recommend this series to everyone. 5⭐️

A satisfying ending to the trilogy although I did miss the novella length of the other two. This one had TONS of references to King‘s other books which as much as I love him I thought kind of got in the way here.

I‘m enjoying this trilogy!

I have to read new King‘s as soon as I get them. Then I read them too quickly because I have to know!
I loved the plot twist/reveal and thought we might be heading that way. Also bit of a give away on the cover (I‘ve covered it 😁). So many links to other King works. If you‘re a constant reader you‘ll love it.
