Claudia always has #Candy stashed around her room and loves reading mysteries. Me too, Claudia 🤛

#WickedWhispers @eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

Bookwormjillk I remember being inspired by her and hiding candy everywhere. But then I forgot about it 🤦‍♀️ My mom didn‘t care about me eating candy before that but you better believe it was strictly controlled after 😂 2mo
inthegreensandblues @Bookwormjillk Ha ha! Yeah I never really to hide candy, my dad was an enabler 😂 2mo

3✨ I liked the end of this story and the mystery that was given using the phantom caller with a few of the babysitters. It was nice learning more about Claudia as our narrator, but I can‘t say she is my favorite.

I‘m so excited for a reading challenge. I‘ve been focusing a lot on my serial reading and haven‘t had much time to read my physical books. I am also behind on serial reading because I started teaching summer school which is wiping me out (yay pregnancy). My goals are 🎯Catch up on my serial reading. 🎯finish book 2 of Babysitters club and 🎯complete 2 audio reads (TBD). @Andrew65

Andrew65 Great to have you with us, best of luck 😁 2y

Book #2 as I travel down the middle school nostalgia trail. These really are a well written series. It's no wonder they were so popular when I was a kid... or that they've been redone and repopularized in the recent past. #42-2022

Claudia is so cool! I liked when she described doing her art and talked with Mimi about her difficulties with her older sister Janine. The scene where she finally connects with Janine at the end is very sweet. I could do without the "boys tease you because they like you" narrative though. A bit spooky! Boo-boo the fat cat and Morbidda Destiny the next door neighbor witch have cameos again to my delight.

Nikki_E I love these books so much! 3y
Bookwormjillk I so wanted to be Claudia as a kid. Still do really. 3y

I appreciate this for what it is, and what it meant to me as a young reader. I looked up to - and related to - the young ladies of the BSC.

IamIamIam I read a bunch of these as a kid & my mother in law just gave us my sister in law's books last night for my daughter. 😁 4y

More nostalgia...work/life has me exhausted, making it hard to sit down and focus on really reading Stamped from the Beginning. I don‘t feel as useless if I fall asleep while reading about the BSC.

BethM Never useless! 4y
heikemarie Not useless! It‘s so hard to put in the energy required for a book like that at the end of the day. I‘ve been thinking about a BSC re-read myself before watching the show! 4y
JackOBotts @BethM @heikemarie - Thank you! The Netflix reboot definitely pushed me to re-read the books. They did a nice modern take on the classics. Hope you enjoy! 🤗 4y

The first BSC book lived up to the nostalgia. The 2nd, not so much. Mainly because of the “boys are mean because they like you” story line, this one doesn‘t age as well as some of the other books. #BSCreread #babysittersclub

So I was scrolling around on Facebook today and saw that one of my friends is getting rid of all of her vintage babysitter club books and I get to have them... I am beyond excited. I was a huge fan back in the day and have been sad that I let my mom sell mine on thrift sales..

Another fun and lighthearted entry in the series. Not as scary as it might seem from the title. I like that each entry has a different sitter telling the story. #nostalgia #childhoodreads

Because my challenge asked that I read a book I loved as a child. I picked this because Claudia was always my favorite babysitter. #popsugarreadingchallenge #thebabysittersclub.

Not a huge fan of the "Guys who are mean to you have a crush on you" trope but I also get this was the 80's. Kristy is my spirit animal, also.

Good morning Littens! In case you're still stressed from last night and need a fun brain break I rounded up into a guessing game now-famous people who once, long ago, modeled for book covers- http://bookriot.com/2016/10/20/can-you-guess-the-now-famous-book-cover-model/

Theresa I just read this on Book Riot a few minutes ago. They're all fun but some are really funny! 8y
