Just started. This one is a lot of fun and I‘m only up to chapter two!
I am a huge fan of the times and of Jack the Ripper stories. This one just didn't do it for me. 👎
The book was extremely gory which was a pleasant surprise for me but I felt like the author tried to make up for the flat parts by being overly detailed in the gore.
The characters were, dare I say, drab to say the least. Even Jack the Ripper wasn't very interesting in this book and that is sad ☹️
Bruce: “And then what happened, Mommy?”
Want to participate in #readathon but have so many chores that need attending to today. #caturday #kittenlitten
Totally bailed....didn't like how this books was written. ... but who knows, I might get back...maybe it's my mood.....
While it took some getting used to the author's writing style, this mystery/thriller became hard to put down. From the mythology of the Ripper murders, to figuring out who was writing the letter chapters, to the true identity of "Jeb", this book was a well thought out, researched, and executed take on the tale of Jack the Ripper.
Took a break from reading to do this fun little "getting to know you".

Trying to get back into this one. For some reason, I'm finding it very difficult to get lost in this book. 🤔
Just gonna read something sweet and nice after a long night shift. Can't see how this might affect my dreams.
Since I was just in London, I figured I'd share a book that takes place there and one of my favorite photos from my adventure! #LondonCalling #RockinMay #London #Myhappyplace #Jacktheripper
"Truly, no creature can understand its own obliteration. Our expectation of death is real but highly theoretical until the moment is upon us and so it was with her."
This won't keep me awake in fear all night, but it will definitely give me the wiggins.
I loved it! It was an immensely engrossing psychological #horror telling of Jack the Ripper. The prose was wickedly intelligent with meticulously morbid details, scintillating suspense, and brilliantly authentic usage of #British language. It also implemented the real-life cases from the era, making it feel even more eerie & genuine. Recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
