I think this book was mentioned in another I read about running. It tells about the authors journey through alcoholism and running as a means of healing. The book tells about different races he ran while also telling personal stories from his past. Enjoyable read.

I found this recording of an evening at Symphony Space with Justin Vivian Bond on Hoopla today. I became aware of Justin through the movie Shortbus. I have been interested in reading their memoir Tango, but haven't yet. This audio gave some insight into the contents of the book and their writing process.

The Intangibles | Elaine Equi

Pickpick

My copy of this book was chewed up during package processing on its way to me. Thankfully, the pages were all still intact, and this gouge just adds character! Haha as for the book itself, I really enjoyed these poems. I‘d never heard of Elaine Equi until I picked up a copy of The Best American Poetry where she was the guest editor. I‘ve now read three of her books and loved them all. Her lines are often short, but she says so much in them. 5⭐️!!

Lindy What a shame that your copy was damaged in transit. I hadn‘t heard of Elaine Equi, so thanks for bringing her work to my attention. 2mo
slategreyskies @Lindy I‘m okay with it being a bit damaged. Now there are no copies anywhere in the world like mine. It‘s entirely unique. As for EE, I think you would enjoy her work. I‘ve loved all 3 books I‘ve read so far, and I just ordered 3 more I haven‘t read yet. Ripple Effect is a compilation book, so you get a selection of her books all in one. It may be a good starting point. Hope you enjoy! 📚💕 2mo
Lindy @slategreyskies I like your attitude regarding the condition of your book. 😊 2mo

**my brother got me a kindle so I‘ve been blowing through some books without reviewing, apologies up top for the inundation of reviews by me and terrible pics**

Such a good read. A witchy take on Romeo and Juliet (ish). It was so good, the main characters were intriguing and I overall would recommend this book to anyone 4⭐️

Jughead Vol. 1 | Chip Zdarsky

Pickpick

Jughead saves the day time after time in this imaginative revisit of the Archie comics world.
- Ace rep: Jughead is asexual
- Hilarious text by Chip Zdarsky (of Sex Criminals fame)
- Joyful, colourful art by Erica Henderson (of Squirrel Girl Fame)
I needed something fun and this fit the bill.

IndoorDame @dabbe I used to be obsessed with finding the perfect images for poems I posted, but I got out of the habit and only do it sporadically now. I love it when I have the time though! 5mo
