2020ReadingStats

I saw huge changes in my reading habits this year. For the first time, I read more ebooks than print books! I just started reading audiobooks this year & don‘t have any previous stats so I was amazed to realize my print & audio totals were almost equal! Since I borrowed 97% of my ebooks & audiobooks from my library‘s digital collection that meant this year I only read 15 print books from my own shelves (plus one I borrowed from a friend) ⬇️

TK-421 I haven‘t finished figuring out the other stats yet (how many books by women/men/non-binary writers, how many by POC writers, how many by LGBTQIA+ writers etc.) but I‘ll share once I finalize my numbers. #2020ReadingStats #JumpIntoJanuary @Eggs (edited) 3y

marleed @Read-y_Picker @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I now have both 2019 (when I started) and 2020 sorted by author and stored in a cardboard index card library drawer-ish box. It stores over 500 cards now. The lined side has my rating, when I read it, and a few notes about the book. I‘ll sort 2021 by star rating until it gets sorted with 19 and 20 in 2022. It‘s one of my favorite things! 3y

My GR goal was around 500 but I finished 818 books - ebooks, physical books, and tons of audiobooks: NF, poetry, GN, YA, AF, fantasy, dystopian, sci-fi, HF, JF, MG. Reading/listening distracted me from the stress and anxiety of this frustrating year of loss of liberty. I‘m grateful for Libby! I stayed #motivated trying to beat my previous years

Eggs @MartinaLove I was laid off in March, I have few distractions (my kids are adults with their own families), I listen to audiobooks for walking, driving, crafting, chores, grocery shopping et al—making up for all the years I was too busy to read! No super powers🤗 3y

My Year of Reading: A Guided Book Review Journal | Book Nerd Printing Press

Every year, I set two of the same reading goals: to read 200 books, with 100 of them being new to me. I usually achieve the first (though no dice this year); I have never achieved the second. Even so, 2020 was a pretty good reading year for me, if not as diverse as I'd like, and I'm #motivated to meet my goals and set some new ones for 2021!
