First person I run into: Superhuman. You these people you just click with? They is one of those. I felt like 17 again.
Many great people, good talks about the state of the world, informative presentation and vegan food. I so, so needed that. 🏳️🌈

This time I'm doing two posts, because last Saturday was too big to just be a number here. So this is post 1/2 with my normal joys 💛
1. Going to the cinema with @VaniBarelyReads and having a tasty dinner afterwards
2. This chalk drawing
3. Going to Zurich with @VaniBarelyReads and having Starbucks drinks. Again.
4. Remodelling the bookstore. Again.
5. Vegan carnival cookies from my aunt 💛

1. Time with a good friend I haven‘t seen for a while, after watching “No Other Place”: not “joyful,”but powerful and worth seeing.
2. Early wildflower shoots peeping up in my pollinator garden.
3. Chocolate ice cream!
4. An excellent choir workshop on Saturday, practising our new songs that explore water, ecology, Indigenous tradition in Tkaronto.
5. Bubbling stories amidst the doom of different kinds of resistance people are taking.

Today was long & jam-packed but I‘m finally done working & ready to share my #5JoysFriday list for this week!💛
1. This morning as I was getting ready there was a rather loud “lecture” going on between 2 birds outside my bathroom window. Identifying a Red-Vented Bulbul as the lecturer with the Merlin app gave me joy!🐦
Favorite foods give me joy! 😋
2. I ate 2 poke bowls this week &
3. had grilled smoked pork belly at a brunch with vendors.

1-2) Visiting Mom & Dad (& playing dominoes) & seeing all the birds visiting them
3) Buying loads of books from 4 bookstores in Houston
4) Eating at the astronauts‘ fave restaurant Frenchie‘s with son & husband
5) Going to the NASA Space Center and seeing the Saturn rocket again—an amazing sight to behold
Sadly I caught a stomach bug and have been really sick since last night. 😞

4. Unearthed some “treasures” from the garage—including a little ceramic alien my sister made at age 12
5. Phone call from one of my regular editing clients thanking me for my work—helping him craft a eulogy for a mentor of his 💜
