Very late on my #5JoysFriday post & haven‘t been around the last couple of days. Catching up on sleep & went to a funeral & gathering for a friend‘s mom yesterday, then came home & slept, but better late than never.
1. That the tsunami warning ended with minimal issues or damages to the islands. We got lucky again.💙
2. Was almost too busy & stressed to go to an HR Director roundtable Thursday but ended up glad I did both for the discussion ⬇️

1- Minutes after 10:PM, on Friday night, LA Mayor Karen Bass held a brief News conference to announce that, “the 9 Circuit court has ruled to keep freeze on SoCal Immigration Raids for seven counties.“ ✊🏼🐻✌🏼🥳💝. This will be appealed, yet is a major win nonetheless!
2- The 4th Amendment has been upheld ✊🏼🐻🌟🦅✌🏼💖.
3- August is here and it has began wonderfully 🌟🦅✊🏼🥳💝.

Had a mix of staycation and vacation this week:

🩵 Advice from my 45 years as the daughter of a musician: If there is a jam session, watch it. It's always amazing. There's literally hundreds of years of musical experience in that jam circle.

1) One of the schools I worked at this week had this display.
2) Got a Dodgers history book to listen to on off days.
3) My kids went to their hometown and brought back this candy from a shop there that makes candy canes.
4) One of my kids volunteers at a food bank. They sent them home with a box of veggies. I made soup.
5) Finally found my copy of Burial Rights yesterday. Long story. Just disappointed I‘ll miss the discussion.
